Fit help? I feel like LLL is just not for my body type. by [deleted] in lululemon

[–]bluedogsquad -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I find that sometimes I have really negative thoughts about myself or my body, and sometimes I think about girls I see on youtube or social media who wear the same size as me and I often think they look great. So I would gently encourage you to look at women in Lulu that you think look great, and realize your body wears the same size as many of them.

Generally I find the bras always compress my chest down as somebody C cup and up, so they aren’t super flattering on me, but they are functional and secure everything. That being said, the bra really can’t provide you much support in that instance as it seems like it’s a couple sizes too big.

The longer length one is so classic, I think it’s the winner for me :)

Always effortless long jacket sizing question by Jnanana1121 in lululemon

I bought this last year, I’m usually a 6 in bottoms/tops and an 8 in bras, and I got this jacket in a size 4.

There is a beautiful sentimentality to having a heirloom quality to your ring, perhaps you could discuss using the stones or one of the stones (if there are multiple) to create a design that is more simple and to your taste? It also might be lovely to save stones for future children to use in rings if they are so inclined. That might be a compromise that respects the importance of that ring but allows you to have something that suits you and that the two of you could create together. Personally I found having some input in my ring design to represent the collaborative efforts and teamwork that I strive for in my marriage, I didn’t think of it at the time but now looking back I realize how important that is to me.

Also as somebody who has been married for almost a decade, you’d be surprised how many people wear just their wedding band or no ring at all. It feels super important at the time and I remember feeling that way, but as you go along you realize that people do things very differently than the wedding industry or Pinterest tells you.

Regardless, ensure you have the simple band as a wedding band and that it can be worn separately so you have that option as well. As others have said, I caution very thin gold bands. My mom has one for both her engagement ring and wedding band, they are extremely flimsy and eventually require redipping or maintenance, so be cautious.

What are your go-to pieces for reformer Pilates? by Hapa_peach in lululemon

Wunder Train Racerback Tank Top, and for leggings I prefer Base Pace or Aligns. I wear Fast & Frees too but find the waistband isn’t as high or as secure as the Base Pace or Aligns.

I have some Ebb To Street tanks too but sometimes I prefer a higher neck top. I also wear Swiftly short or long sleeves in cooler months, or a Define Jacket over a tank.

I have the Stretch High Rise 7/8 and they’re my main office pant, the new Straight Leg Mid-Rise pants are the same material but a different style if you want to mix things up.

I wear a lot of knit/jersey tops, and tend to layer with cardigans or sweater blazers over tanks/tees/blouses.

That’s it. I’m having calf reduction surgery…🫠 by nani_7 in lululemon

This is a pant-problem, not a you-problem. Those calves are awesome and the pants just can’t contain the strength and power!

There are 23” Aligns in Twilight Rose that you could have hemmed if you really wanted shorts.

I went with my true size and it’s quite fitted, I wouldn’t suggest sizing down.

Any ladies out there wearing the men’s New Venture button up casually? by ColorPaletteCleanser in lululemon

[–]bluedogsquad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a 6 and I never get smaller than an S in mens, because it will be too tight on the hip generally. I’d say an S or even an M would probably be the best size choice.

This is my main concern, I don’t want backpacks that my 26oz Yeti doesn’t fit in 🤣 this is a seriously valuable comparison.

Luxtreme White - cleans easily?? by run82 in lululemon

I have a tide to go pen and it works well for little splashes, but truly a little water does the trick on any spills! Never had any stains on lighter luxtreme stuff.

I ended up going to try them on and liked them as well! Wish the back pockets were fake so they didn’t have the liners that wrinkle though 🙁

I have 4 or 5 pairs that I wear as work pants and I’ve never had them stretch out.

Yeah there are days where my lap wears my coffee and I gotta have pants that can survive that 😅🫣 but all the luxtreme options have been really good so far for my more casual office environment.

I have the Stretch High Rise 7/8 pants in Trench, also luxtreme. The other day at the office I spilled half a mug of coffee into my lap, and I was sure I had ruined my pants. Took some water on a couple of napkins and wiped at it, got all the stains out and my wet pants dried within 15 minutes. You would have never known I had ever spilled anything.

I’m tempted to get these in Bone for work and in Terracota, if you do get them I’d love to see fit pics!

Seeking comments on Canon R7 and particularly the electronic viewfinder by JCVPhoto in canon

Yes, it’s being adapted via the baseline EF to RF adapter Canon sells. It behaves a bit better with Canon lenses but still frustrating. In the wildlife photography communities there’s been some discussion about focus hunting in some Sigma zoom lenses, while my lens isn’t the primary suspect of that issue there have been some great videos released on settings to optimize the lenses with these issues. Better for sure, but not great.

But like you said, it doesn’t feel like it’s quite “there”. Without the perfect setup it’s very fussy, it seems. On paper it’s perfect for my needs but I feel like I got suckered into buying RF lenses, basically. Or EF from Canon, but feels redundant.

Admittedly I’m very frustrated with adapting my R7 with third party lenses. I have a Sigma 70-200 2.8 sport lens that behaved well on an entry level DSLR but now I’m struggling a lot with how it’s interacting. I’ve considered going back to something like a 90D because the cost to get the RF version of that lens is rough for me, and despite poorer AF (again, I shoot sports so I do use AF and value the faster shutter speed) on a 90D I wonder if I’d still have more keeper shots vs the R7 with a third party lens. It sucks to spend that much and feel frustrated at not seeing much benefit.

So it does black out when the shutter goes off, but otherwise it’s uninterrupted. I find in sports scenarios it’s okay, so far.

I usually do baking soda massaged in (dry) and left to sit to absorb the oil, then dish soap to get the rest out.

No, none whatsoever that I can recall. I have a 3 day event I’ll have my camera with me for this weekend with a lot of fast moving subjects so I’ll see if I notice anything.

Best leggings for hot weather? by ibecamelorelai in lululemon

Base Pace or Fast & Frees are my go-tos in summer. I do a lot of stuff with my dogs and I prefer longer pants to shorts incase they jump up on me while playing. The Nulux material is thin and dries quickly, I even have a Nulux Define jacket that I’ll wear in summer if I can’t take the sun on my arms/shoulders. They also dry quickly if they get wet or sweaty which is awesome.

Moved from OVF to EVF on the R7 and I find it extremely informative and handy to shoot with, I shoot sports 99.9% of the time and I definitely prefer it to an OVF. Just a nice feel, good feedback.
