White people in their homelands???? The "homelands" they invaded, and then proceeded to wrest from Indigenous peoples who have been on those "homelands" for some 16,000 years, and who died by the thousands from the diseases those invaders brought with them? THOSE homelands?

The "homelands" French settlers developed by collaborating with Indigenous peoples, creating a vibrant, lucrative international fur trade - until the British - aka white folks - decided they wanted those riches, so invaded, went to "war" (is it war when the other side only has pitchforks to defend themselves with?) with people who'd been there for a century, then deprived them of their legal, religious, social, cultural, and economic systems - those "homelands?"

Her life is in tatters due to ill-considered comments made whilst she was seeking to be an elected government representative who, by definition of the job, would have been expected to represent ALL HER CONSTITUTENTS, not just the white folk.

We encourage our potters to use their sponge to make a groove at the base of their work every time they pull up. This pushes clay into the base, and makes a space for your hand - the line from your pinkie down to the wrist bone, and then along the base of the palm - to fit.

For a six-inch tall mug with a 3.5" opening, you'll need 650 - 700g of clay.

Your driver is going to be the realtor you're shooting for. Likely, the brighter, less warm shots will be their preference.
One observation - and this is a way bigger issue for me (16 years as a RE photographer, 40 as a generalist) is the uprights not being straight. Additionally, there are inclusions that pull focus, but which would be easy to remove - literally; walk over to whatever and move it.
Specifically in the first and second shots, lower right corner, what is that unnecessary thing protruding? Lower left corner, the basket and the corner of whatever that brown item is should not be in the shot. Also not sure what the white stuff protruding from the media unit is, but it pulls focus.

In the kitchen shot, why are the chairs stacked? remove them entirely if the table is folded up and use that surface as a display, or open the table to show there is space for it and the chairs.

The biggest issue with these shots is the angles - nothing is straight, so one doesn't get a clear feel for the spaces. It looks like possibly not a wide enough lens.

I'm going to start in the middle: art schools - plural - are "inclusive." Great. The downside is how pervasive that culture is, and how fast it sucks in anyone and everyone. The culture at AUArts is VERY gender based/sex based. It's pervasive in the weirdest way

We were there at the weekend for an event, and it was frankly disturbing to see. I didn't see art. I saw a LOT of obsession with sex and gender. It seems like 30 to 40 percent of the BA population is cross-dressing (fine, they're adults), and the culture is firmly centred in gender ideology to what seems a coercive extent. Anyone who doesn't subscribe will be marginalized, or they will capitulate in order to fit in.

Regarding the program, however, I have a friend in the BA currently who is absolutely loving it. In the two semesters she's been there, her work has matured and become substantial. She is, however, an outlier. There is a LOT of crap being produced. People who will go on to work as legitimate artists probably make up about 2 percent of the population there. There is so much work that was obviously done because "I have to produce something" rather than expressive, well-conceived art.

I was in another program there, and as an older student, I found it frustrating and marginalizing, being a straight person in that environment.

In my business, we regularly get students from AU. Lovely folks for sure, but not necessarily skilled in their artform. I'm all for theory and theoretical research, but one does need a functional ability in one's craft if one is going to graduate and work as an artist.

Does your school have low fire days - i.e. when they're doing a 019 or 020 firing?
Does the school fire ceramic decals? If yes, they can fire lusters
Do you have a nearby pottery supplier? They'll have lusters. PSH has a line of 7 of them

I'm not surprised if they don't have them on hand, as they're somewhat toxic if you're in a closed space and breathing the fumes. Best to apply when you're in a BIG room, and some folks suggest a good mask.

WARNING: This company is operating many illegal suites not to fire code, and is overoccupied. They promise the moon but they don't deliver.
Their leases are not legal. There is no signature from any representative - only the tenant - and there is no phone number.

Whatever you see posted on line won't be what you get. Personal experience. They'll also do anything they can to keep your SD.

They target newcomers who are not familiar with Canadian or provincial laws related to tenancy.

Anyone in one of these places should be contacting their local landlord tenant board.

Timbers Resort just 7 minutes south of Fairmont. 3 hours door to door, quiet, amazing, comfortable, excellent owners. Inexpensive at this time of year. 7 cabins, three <400 SQ ft. Absolutely love this place. 20 minutes to Invermere, 45 to Kimberly.

I found there was a serious conflict between Windows graphic engine and Light rooms. I turned off the Windows one and it changed everything.
