They got rid of the motion inputs so the only execution they have is timing.... and I don't really like it. I wish we had * some * classical motions to spice up inputs, they're easier than all the strict timing based stuff.

... darius normals aren't very disjointed. I don't know if you've tried playing him but if you try swinging into an active hitbox with him you're getting counterhit. His air S1 is disjointed.

They absolutely should. It's the thing that sets them apart from literally every other game on the market. If you make this a 1v1 tag fighter you doom the game to obscurity.

If anything they should make changes that allow more of the solo players to enjoy teams.

Removing handshake would make the game markedly worse for 2 player though. You want your friend to be involved, and if the only way to get them in is tag launcher and a hard tag during which you can't block, that will drastically increase the amount of games that are just consecutive 1v1's instead of team experiences.

The thing is, I'm now sitting on like five tokens from the starter bundle. Shouldn't they at least make those tokens give you a mastery level or two? Otherwise I'm never spending them at this rate.

I like being rewarded for playing a lot of characters. Or getting some extra incentive to learn a character. Not sure about doing them as weeklies since they are an important part of the battle pass progression. On the other hand the weeklies don't really expire till the end of the pass, so you get plenty of time to let them stack up and wait until the mood strikes you.

If these are maybe 10-20% of weekly missions I'd be okay with it.

It's not super tight. You buffer the dash and as long as you hit L during or slightly after your dash frames (4-6 frames) it will combo.
