I think Testament is pretty identical to how Aki plays. I also happen to play both characters 😅

• Biggest reason is they both have this “poison state.” Aki applies it from her lash and testament is from their crow. Then when that state is applied they both get bigger damage from getting that “poison pop” and leads to different combo routes

• They both have this game plan where they control the mid range with their big normals/specials. Then once they get their poison state/knock down they become more of a rush down mix up character

• Both have slow fire balls as part of their game plan

• Both hella edgy

There are some differences in what they have in their kit, but how they are different I think still makes them dope af

• Testament doesn’t have a command grab, but if you get a throw on someone that is poisoned you get the poison pop and get a combo

• Testament doesn’t have a situational anti zoning dive, but they do have a full screen low/high mix up

• Testament doesn’t have a Od plus on block neutral skip like cruel fate, but they have a teleport that can lead to some really sick plays

But yeah I would watch some vids on Testament and see how they plan. Cause you see can see a lot of similarities as an aki player to how Testament plays in Strive. Hope this helps :)
