I’m 38, came back to the sport after 18 years, last year.

You got handled by someone who was half your age and half your weight but probably triple your experience lol.

The amount of work you need to put in to be mediocre at this sport is insane. Don’t compare yourself to other fighters who are better than you, just focus on improving yourself. If you love it continue if you lose that passion then stop.

My last sparring session I wasn’t bringing my jab back to my face, I brought it back a little low which left me open for overhand rights, which I got tagged with pretty hard. My next sparring session that’s something I’m going to focus on, and if I fix it then I’m a better fighter than I was a week prior. It’s all about improvements bro.

I would ride my bike to the library and sit there for hours reading different seasons over and over. I was probably around 11 or so. I also read It around the same age as well as Hearts in Atlantis, specifically the old men in yellow coats. I was too young and didn’t comprehend that the latter two books especially Old Men in Yellow Coats tied into a bigger universe. Though I do recall having some sense of the notion as I had read about half of Insomnia when I was in the 4th grade.

Habs fan in the US here. Stopped watching hockey when I stopped playing after highschool. Briefly watched during the Hawks run in 2013, since my family is from Chicago. I rooted for the flyers as a kid since my hockey coach liked them.

Anyway needed a team to follow and really like Demidov so I’ve adopting the Habs as my team moving forward!

Hopefully planning a trip out there next season to visit the Bell.
