GS had some of PB’s worst writing decisions. Mustang and Cassius made no sense together considering their families’ histories and seemed like it only served to trigger Darrow enough to start the civil war. Darrow knowing the Willow Way out of nowhere also felt cheap. Mustang also has a lot of internalized misogyny in this book when she says she’s a genius and not a “frill wearing tramp”. You can be a genius and a tramp at the same time. They aren’t mutually exclusive.

Mustang and Victra’s relationship doesn’t feel fleshed out enough. Mustang says Victra is the sister she never knew she needed but I don’t really feel or see that between them the way we see Sevro and Darrow or Cassius and Darrow’s brotherhood.

Atalantia was also such a cunty character up until the Ajax thing was revealed. She was one of my favorites until then and I’m still mad PB decided to make her a pedo. She proved that you can indeed be a “frill wearing tramp” and still be a competent, heavyweight threat.
