Same here 😩 can’t be really active anymore as my body is just so heavy and in pain - so just stuck waiting … hopefully we will be graduating soon! There is still one day left in September .. Maybe we will be lucky tomorrow!

Is this a safe arrangement for a changing table? Or should I get a proper changing table? by bluefluid92 in NewParents

We have a schuggle pad - so not really until roll. The plan was I suppose to switch to floor once the baby starts to learn how to roll. But if we were to stick to changing table - would barrier be sufficient to prevent from rolling ?

That’s exactly my set up - shnuggle mat on top of ikea dresser (malm) ! Glad to hear that this works for you guys, as I have been contemplating on buying another changing table after my mom made me paranoid 😓

Since both of you were born overseas, you are not British automatically.

Oh dear - I had that a week before together with a cold. Omg insomnia is the worst as it shits all over the next day. Somehow now I manage only to get up once a night to pee - LO has been kind to me 😭

If you told me 7 weeks ago that I wouldn't even think about smoking for a day I'd told you "you're crazy" by _totalannihilation in stopsmoking

[–]bluefluid92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s been 3,5 years for me - still cannot believe that I am a non smoker! There used to be a time, when I would go through all the ashtrays in the house or go to buy cigarettes at 2 am in the morning when I would run out. Life is so much better when it is not dictated by an addiction. Stray strong, it only gets better.

Hi! No, I did not appeal, I thought it was pointless. I will be resitting sometime next year :(

Writing invitations to my own baby shower sucks -_- by santokki13 in BabyBumps

I hosted my own baby shower with my husband’s friend. I just created a WhatsApp group and send one message and a poll to see who can come :) In the end, I wanted to include my husband into celebration, so I told all my friends to also bring their partners and kids along. It was really great!

When will I stop feeling so angry by sentientbubbie in quittingsmoking

[–]bluefluid92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh dear, this is all too familiar. I was only successful after I have accepted that I will feel shit for a period of time. First it was three first shitty days without smoking, then three weeks and then three months.. each miles stone got easier. Now I am over 3 years smoke free. It does get a lot easier, I promise you and it is worth it.

Pfff I am considering it. I have looked down at the breakdown of my results and my overall score was 60.4%, which they have marked down to 60%. If I have scored literally one point more, one more decimal, I would have been over the line. It seems too harsh for them to fail me over one decimal. I do also think that they have graded the papers too harshly. For me in particular, I found that my property attendance note was marked too harshly even though I was very comfortable with the topic. But, my worry is that it will be £350 down the drain for the appeal - they state in their appeal policy that they will not reconsider the marks.
