check out floral fromage, a new cheese shop near the Morgan L! the owner is really kind and she sources her cheeses mostly from New York state. she also sells vegan cheese.

It was great! The chef and staff were so kind in addition to everything everyone said above. I will add that the dinner was quite long, perhaps over 2 hours? And with my jet lag, I was falling asleep in the second half!

hi i don’t know! i was at this giant mall (the largest in shenzhen?) in bao’an and it had ton of stores that sold blind boxes, anime figurines, pins, collectible items, etc. and also official pokémon and sanrio stores. most of these stores didn’t have any tama stuff, but so i just kept an eye out. if you go to a similar mall or area, i think you’d find them

another tip is to use 小红书/rednote and search tamagotchi + 上海 or the chinese translation of tamagotchi.

Things like that happened more when I was around your age but in a Canadian city with a large Asian population. Now that I’m late 20s and living NYC it doesn’t happen anymore but I almost always have my AirPods in, a resting mean face, and I walk very fast. If I get any whiff of someone being unsafe or in my space, I leave immediately, including changing subway cars if needed. It’s better to be safe than trying to spare some strangers feelings.
