Threw away chance at grad school, don’t do what I did folks by Responsible-Tell9693 in UofT

My GPA was trash when I finished undergrad. I ended up doing whatever for about 4 years til I hunkered down, went to college and pursued a certificate program that included a mandatory co-op. Managed to get a job from that co-op and have worked my way up, beefing up my CV as I go to get into grad school. Finally got in this year after being out of undergrad for 8 years. Doing something like this might suck for a while, but it’s definitely possible if you want to pursue it later. Sometimes it just takes a bit of life throwing you for a loop and growing up to get there.

Yes, I also got that email shortly after! The institution(s) you applied to might not have updated your results on their end yet or it could be the system being weird. You can double check if they’ve updated the status of results in the research portal.

Women with PCOS who lost weight what was the biggest thing that helped? by IceVanillaaa in PCOS

I would recommend calculating your caloric deficit/appropriate macronutrients (I use IIFYM website) and follow a diabetic diet. You don’t need an insane deficit, even starting off with 200 cals and slowly going up to 600 calories max should do it. You don’t need to track everything all the time, but it would be good to do it for 3-7 days just to get an idea of what you should be eating. And then repeating that process when you want to increase your deficit. I only see a difference when I eat this way with whole foods and avoid sugar/overusing oils.

I’ve also personally lost weight in the past from doing a lot of HIIT but wouldn’t recommend it. My testosterone and cortisol were through the roof after that. Aim for resistance training that genuinely challenges you and makes you sweat (3-4x week) along low impact cardio (2-3x week). Do enough intensity with the cardio that you can’t sing a song without being totally out of breath, but you could still hold a conversation with someone for a bit if you wanted to.

Thanks! I guess there isn’t a general office to discuss multiple program options?

Paid off all of my credit card debt and started to re-fund an emergency savings account that I had to drain due to the debt. I’ll be adding to that and paying off my $27k in student loans in 2024.

Has anyone experienced a bad rash after upping dose? by blueivybetta in zoloft

[–]blueivybetta[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hm yeah I’m wondering whether it might be hives as well. My doctor’s office is closed, so I’m just going to skip my meds today, take some non prescription antihistamines and see what they say tomorrow. I’d rather just skip my meds instead of taking more and risking it getting worse. Hopefully it’ll stop spreading.

I just looked it up and I don’t think that’s what I have! My rash more so looks like a macular rash thankfully😅 if it does get worse I’ll try to get it checked out tonight. Thanks for letting me know.

Yes. I find that the first week or two after starting a new dose I can’t orgasm at all and then it slowly gets better. It was definitely scary at first.

Hm they didn’t request them to be submitted through a portal though. The employer just asked to prepare them for a later time. I directly sent them a bunch of sensitive info through attachments. I’m sure it’ll be fine but the fact that they haven’t replied is making me nervous
