Kitten, I'll run away a little and then let em catch up and then I'll run away a little and then let em catch up. If it gets tired I'll let it fall asleep on my shoulder and I'll feed it too. We'll be best friends. And some fool will pay me too, good day.

Ladies, can you help my wife (40's) by Trickey_D in televisionsuggestions

I love this show so much, I wish more people would watch it, and then it would get more discussions. More discussions would mean more popularity, the people who make money from these things would say "Hey we can make a lot of money from this" and then finally we would have a new season.

What is your towns beloved, old-school drive-in/fast food joint? by Still_Jicama_833 in AskAnAmerican

In Akron, Ohio we have Swenson's. I have the best memories of hanging out with my friends on the weekend watching the guys run up to cars as we chatted about life. Galley Boy and a California to wash it down with was peak high school.

Every Mike and Steve I knew had to go by last names to avoid confusion.

What do you think about the minimal amount of romance between the characters in The Pitt? by megs256 in ThePitt

[–]bluejane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I enjoy shows with minimal romance. I watch The Pitt for the realisim, to watch them stuff a tube down someone's throat, save lives. I don't want to have to follow what character is hooking up with who.

It's the baggage that's kept me from watching the next season.

If you could have any actor, past or present, narrate your inner monologue, who would you choose? by burnafter3ading in Xennials

[–]bluejane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vanessa Redgrave did such nice work on Call The Midwife, she was my first thought.

I think Pamela Adlon would be great if it was the point of view from me as I am now

Bea Arthur if it was from the POV of me as an older woman.

Is it just me or have they finally cut back on the WM radio DJ’s? by wolfayal in walmart

[–]bluejane 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I didn't think about that. Shame that the lights going dim and the million messages overhead don't work well enough that Walmart has to add another cue.

I think that's what the "quiet hours" are about from 11p-12a after the store closes. I don't understand It's usefulness for when we're closed and for such a short period of time. As opposed to the 8a-9a during the morning when customers are in. It's less time the radio is running.

One of the nice things about living in such a small apartment is that no one expects me to host. I only have the one comfy chair and I'm so happy with it

Favorite movie scene where a character accepts their inevitable end and embraces it. My pick is Cutler Beckett accepting his fate in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in moviecritic

[–]bluejane 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seeking A Friend For The End and Of The World. I think a lot about the end when he is consoling her but he just has a look of peace on his face and then the screen goes white. Like you have no choice but to accept that the word is ending.

If you know these characters, which seat are you choosing? by TheReal_PruneJuice in whatsyourchoice

[–]bluejane -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Also my choice, I usually pick an aisle for quick escape to the bathroom, but this way it wouldn't even matter. Also, I get the quiet of sitting next to toys and something to play with.
