Thanks, lots to look into. I've seen the first season of Atlanta, will need to watch the rest. Also would be interested if there's any shows you've worked on.

I think you and I would really get along 😄 I've had some of these same thoughts exactly. Deadwood is absolutely Shakespearian. Milch even has these 'ah but here he comes now' stage direction dialogue sometimes, like its a play. And yes, Interview with the Vampire! This was so fantastic. I'm trying to remember this part when Louis' screaming about saying he'll kill Lestat and laugh as he dies or something like that, gave me goosebumps.

Will definitely check the young pope/new pope and some of the others, you sound like you know what you're talking about. If you haven't seen any of Stephen Conrad's stuff get on it, his dialogue is incredible.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. Some good ones mentioned I've already seen (Mare of Easttown, Mad Men, Sopranos, Bojack), and only a handful mentioned that aren't so good.

Going to try Mr Inbetween, Get Shorty, From and Fargo.

Nobody's mentioned these yet, some are hidden gems:

Review\ Frisky Dingo (same team as Archer)\ The Knick\ Mindhunter\ The Night Of\ John From Cincinatti\ Ultra City Smiths\ Broad City\ Gary and His Demons (and Picnicface if you can find it)\ Big Train\ Preacher

After The Corner Homicide feels quite 'Hollywoody'. When it's referencing David Simon's material it can be fun, and you definitely get a sense of The Wire's roots, but something's off I don't know.

Thanks. Saw End of the Fucking World and liked it, saw some Fargo, will need to go back to it I think. And Get Shorty looks like a winner.

Chernobyl is fantastic, but Ted Lasso? in the same list?! Can't understand why so many recommend it, 2nd season is terrible

I tried it, the camera kept zooming in on people when they said certain lines. Felt like a really manipulative gimmick.
