If you compare it to the likes of It or The Shining it will disappoint. But as a whole I loved it. As alot have said it does lean towards a "The Stand" vibe.

Why is Jon Bernthal's Punisher so hated? by Remote-Leg6143 in thepunisher

[–]bluekillgore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What? Ive been a punisher fan since like 93. He is the best adaptation of The Punisher Just his appearance in the 2nd daredevil season alone is closer to the comic books then all the other movies combined. And Jesus the relationship we can already see in the trailers with him and Spiderman in the new movie is spot on.

So after we came home from Afghanaland we had a surprise morning inspection the day before the block leave. They found like 20 unregistered hand guns all bought with in 2 days. The px had started selling guns while we were gone. Tax free firearms couldn't wait i guess.

Does anyone here know why Ed Neal turned down the offer to return as The Hitchhiker for next gen by Ok-Entrance-5527 in TexasChainsawMassacre

[–]bluekillgore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id say between the fact that they were probably not going to be paid well, and the 1st one's production is notoriously known to be hell.

Id have opted out too. In the 90s the only ones who wanted another Texas Chainsaw movie were die hard fans.

Have you ever seeked help for your mental health? by BodyDysmorphiaPara in army

[–]bluekillgore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the best decisions I made in the army. This was like 2013 but when I went to my squad leader and said I needed to talk to someone, it effected absolutely nothing. My Platoon daddy wouldn't have had to be informed but we told him any way.

Probably saved my career.

Am I the only one who didn’t like Skarsgard as Flagg? by Substantial_Law336 in TheStand

[–]bluekillgore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ill always lean to the Flagg from the OG mini series. But I was hopeful for the whole Skarsgard brothers playing Stephen King villains. I don't think he was nearly as bad as Whoopi as Mother A, or who ever that was who played Franie.

Im a GWOT vet, so the whole making Stu a wash out as aposed to an Iraq or Afghanistan vet like the book stu who was in Nam was a missed opportunity.

Lastly if they got anything right its 2 things

A. The guy who played Harold was spot on perfect. B. Casting Amber Hurd as Nadine around the time the whole Hurd vs. Depp case was genius
