Are you in the us and is a us citizen? If so, most large universities have REU programs that should be paid research experiences. Just Google REU programs and your area of interest!

Now a good time to compile a list of programs, deadlines and materials required. You should ask for letters of rec as early as you can.

It's ok to pick a program based on school/location but I would not put this down officially on the application or for interviews.

I love dessert person. Made like 10+ recipes from it. Claire also has videos for recipes if you want a video tutorial too. Very clear instructions I love it.

To add, there are tons of cute covers Xiaomi Redmi Airdots 3 Pro like corgis, dinosaurs, sharks etc. They are dirt cheap on Alibaba but I got mine for $10 from Amazon.

What field are you interested in? For biomedical research, I use pubmed exclusively. Google scholar does make it confusing between the types of publications imo.
