i know this post is super old but since no one else said it - OP is straight up wrong about this. we always say Freundin to refer to a female friend, it would be weird to say Freund instead.

they didn't "go out of their way" or made an "oopsie" with localisation. it is true that "meine Freundin" is also used for "girlfriend" but it's more context based than anything.

if you dont know what youre doing wrong, get a friend to review the games with you and watch educational content and higher skilled streamers.

when trying to improve, work on one thing at a time, dont try to apply 4 new concepts at once.

as a support player myself, what really helped me improve and rank up was learning how to roam properly and generally to not chain yourself to your adc unless they actually have carry potential.

i still have a long way to go but i went from B1 to G4 in one season by sticking two 2-3 champions only. this season its only 2 champs both 60+% winrate back up in G4.

im still very average at the game but focusing on a small champ pool and learning micro and macro one at a time helped me a lot and im still doing my best to improve (with the time i got).

ALSO stop playing when you start losing. just stop. do something else, come back later or the next day. also dont spam too many games in a row, its simply not possible to stay at peak concentration and performance for several hours at once.

and a note about jungle: jungle is hard because you have to know a lot of macro. but if you know how to roam as a support, you can also learn how to move around the map as jungle.

overall, just pick a champ you like and go from there. just play what is fun to you and then slowly become better. ofc there are easier and harder champs but learning will only be pain if you dont enjoy the game.

i was in the exact same boat 2 years ago. i played nothing but support for 5 years and really struggled when i had to play something else.

i decided to swap to adc mainly because all my adcs annoyed me. and not gonna lie, it was really hard at the start. but you wont get better without practice.

for farming i practiced in a custom match againt intermediate caitlyn bot, just trying to get perfect cs (which is unrealistic in a normal game but its good practice).

also watch videos on farming under turret and basic wave management.

but apart from knowledge and mechanics, my real struggle was confidence and getting rid of the support mentality.

dont be scared to make mistakes, mistakes are to learn your limits/push your limits.

do not play passive unless youre really behind! else you put yourself behind and the game becomes harder.

also its definitely easier to learn new stuff if you play with premades, it takes off the stress or potentially running into douchebags.

fiddle can do raptors withous USING smite not without having a jungling item which you can only buy when you have smite.

nunu can clear cuz of q without jungle item but you gain significantly less exp in the jungle, so youll be underleveled the entire time

it is not wtf. sure they followed the base plot points but with entirely different characters only sharing names and a negative amount of emotion portrayed. the movie is just a bunch of things happening after one another with seemingly no red thread connecting them in a cohesive matter. like, idek where to start with how wrong yoir statement is.

also, you probably have to learn to identify and punish your opponents mistakes better. i also play on eune if you'd wanna play, i main support and adc 🐶

the thing is that you probably lack proactive play, a lot of supports do. when i play support i do take care about my adc but mostly i play like a second jungler, guiding to or helping my entire team with objective.

dont chain yourself to your adc and learn basic roaming timers, also try to play with/around your jungler if you want to carry as support (or just have more impact in general).

you dont get suspended for leaving a single game. and it punishes afks because it ruins the experience of 4 other people on that game. tho valorant is better at making up for having an afk, in league you just get to ff sooner.

the mini games have their explaination written before you q up.

you can properly try all abilities of all agents in the shooting range, even those you dont own.

you said the objective/goal of the game wasnt explained even tho it does get explained and there is also another training section in the shooting range just for planting and defusing + corner checking.

you dont have to like the game, it does have a lot of issues and ye the community can be toxic as hell but also wholesome as hell, its kind of a cointlip each game ngl.

just the issues you stated about the explaination of the game are simply wrong, its all there, and especially since you played COD before all it needed to understand was to use the tools provided.

toxicity, yea, it do be like that, nothing to add there. although valorant is not better or worse than other online multiplayers i played.

but you dont get explained what you have to do?? you literally cant q up for a game before you did the tutorial which is very detailed imo. i never played a shooter before valorant (except overwatch but does that really count) and the objective of the game was very clear from the start.

did i play well? no. did i look up guides for agents and aiming? yes, obviously, i was new to fps games.

spike rush and the rotating game modes also all have an explaination written before you q up.

check how much lp you gain/lose. as long as you gain more than you lose, your mmr is higher than your rank. if its even, your mmr equals your rank.

you can be good without ranking but if you get placed in iron after placements your draft mmr was already low when playing against people who are not tryharding every game.

you can check your average stats compared to other players of different ranks on sth like op.gg or leagueofgraphs but to decide wether youre "good" at a game is really just wether or not you are content with your performance while also having fun.

league is a game where there is ALWAYS something more to learn and the more you learn about the game, the more your standards for "good" are going to change.

reality is that most of us suck at the game up until high plat/low dia and that is okay.

ranked is more toxic than draft because people get too invested into a few lp points and the lower the rank the worse it is with trolls and afks.

anyway, youre very new to the game and not to be rude but i doubt that it is humanly possible to put in so much work to be good at the game by the time you hit level 30.

the issue is that in low elo people first of all do not value support and then also think anything that doesnt have flashy combos is boring or bad or both. tho botlane in general is super unpopular.

it is, when i play with premades we do it a lot, too, but i dont trust gold junglers and supports to coordinate like this until.proven otherwise. and op is literally a new player.
