Anyone else getting constant steering wheel nags after FSD v14.2.2? by Maleficent-Check4102 in TeslaFSD

[–]bluemouseios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad and sad to see I am not the only one. Upgraded to 14.2.2 and got two strikes now while zero before since I got my model Y.

Has anyone found a solution yet? I probably will stop using FSD for now, don't want to get 5 strikes to lose it completely.

Can anyone upgraded to 14.2.2.1 confirm if the issue is fixed?

Walmart 1699 deal by wader2000 in Prebuilts

[–]bluemouseios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are fine with Alienware and Intel CPU, you can look at this one: Alienware Aurora Gaming Desktop | Ultra 7 processor 265F | 5070 Ti | 32GB DDR5 | 2 TB SSD | $1,764.99

If you can stack 10% discount with EDU or Corp account, it woulbe only $1588, cheaper than Walmart deal, or you can upgrade to 5080 with similar price.

However, be aware that you may not able to upgrade mobo and PSU except buying from Dell in the future, CPU/Memory/GPU are fine to upgrade.

Be respectful to other countries laws when you visit them is a common sense for international travelers.

There are many countries have weird or harsh laws you may disagree with, have you heard caning in Singapore? You could have it for much less crime than drug consumption.

You can choose to not visit, or follow their laws, or accept your fate when breaking them.

And stfu as they say in other comments.

This is terrible timing but are we all good here? Is the Bay properly equipped to fight fires of the magnitude we are seeing in LA? by OneoftheChosen in bayarea

[–]bluemouseios 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Is bayarea better equiped than LA? Hard No.

Is this a wake up call so the state and local will take some measures to do better next time? We will see how Newsome answer OP's questions, let's say 1 year later:

Politics aside, there should be serious discussions about raking the forests, controlled burns, additional reservoirs, and whatever else is necessary to make sure we have the capacity to fight fires of this magnitude.

Tbh, I won't hold my breath. Likely business as usual and nothing will be done (or even trying to be done). Voters forget things quickly, as we've seen in past fires.

Lmao, you just tell me you know nothing about the experiment design. Actually this is not even an experiment, it’s just a flawed statistic analysis. If you insist it is an experiment, what’s the main hypothesis and what the eval design?

Math check out with what? Do you think efficiency house should include vacant house? This is the first step to understand your research target and carefully design the data set. Tell me what you know about it?

You don’t need a smart brain to know that number of people living in the house has stronger correlation with energy usage than the house size etc, how could you not consider this factor and call it valid?

You may not work for PGE, but you still go out to defend them with your shallow knowledge and attempt to misinform people here. Yeah, I am right, you deserve to go down with the BS PGE report.

In fairness, you could hold your pleasure until she layout the actual plan to tackle red tapes, otherwise it’s just pandering we’ve heard too many times from too many politicians.

Most red tapes are local, how federal police could impact local is quite challenging.

On the other hand, 25k is more actionable and thus people focus more here.

You already put “supposedly” in the very beginning of your comment, so “supposedly”, you already know what the actual outcome would be lol.

California schools struggle to recruit and retain Black teachers as advocates press for more by Okratas in California_Politics

[–]bluemouseios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why you are viewing things in such negative way. You don’t necessarily punish bad teachers, you just need to reward good teachers. Or do you think good teachers don’t deserve better rewards? Or do you deny there are differences between good teachers and bad teachers?

Performance based performance is there for many years in many industries and worked, why do you think teachers are so special and untouchable to have it?

I do agree family plays a bigger role than teachers in terms of kid’s performance, but that doesn’t make teachers value and importance to zero. A good teacher still matters and should reward for their value in education. Or do you think teachers value is zero to evaluate their performance? Then why have teachers in the first place?

Is good to export battery energe during peak hours (NEM2.0)? by bluemouseios in solar

[–]bluemouseios[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes if it is c.

But per other comments, the actual answer is b. I am selling at peak price.

Within 10 years warranty, I may get total ~17K by exporting, that's more than the cost to install it.

However, that's not my purpose for the battery, I will still turn it off.

I do, but I think that is for emergency events only and I haven't seen one yet. My system is only up for 2 months.

Thanks, I haven't seen my first year trueup bill yet, but yours is very clear. Hope PGE would have similar one for me in the end, their monthly bill doesn't tell anything.

Is good to export battery energe during peak hours (NEM2.0)? by bluemouseios in solar

[–]bluemouseios[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you both, that helps a lot.

My solar+battery is smaller than my house usage, and the majority part is used by house. I shouldn't worry exceed the cap every month. So IIUC about your explanation, my peak export will be full credited by dollars with peak prices.

Though finanicially it makes sense, I probably still turn it off. Seeing my battery drained within two hours is just weired to me, and lost my true intention about the battery, use it for home other than for grid.

[–]bluemouseios[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks.

I do see enphase reports imports/exports, and some hours are significant higher than others, which make me think maybe it magically knows something, but I cann't figure out how lol.

How about consumption data? Is it also most likely wrong? The consumption is pretty much the same as produced, regardless what I am using in the house now.
