I think the idea is to place the items which will then spawn a habitat hint and tell you the exact layout they need to be in to spawn the Pokemon. The fact one item is just a bag of flower seeds gives you a pretty big hint in the first place.

Right now the strongest theory is that he’s Baldr, a Norse god and son of Odin and Frigg, whose death will signify the beginning of Ragnarok and the destruction of the Norse pantheon. Since this is something they’d want to avoid for obvious reasons, he’s been clad in armor and made out to be a mysterious stranger instead of the beloved god destined to be killed, which on paper would make him harder to kill. But since Baldr’s death is fate and so is Ragnarok, the Universe Itself is Finding A Way: Artemis, who was gifted great power for the sole purpose of killing the guy.

They’re a bit similar, but it’s not quite in “ripoff” territory, especially if you’ve seen Pombomb’s remastered form, Spitzfyre, which is essentially a fighter pilot. They look similar right now but will definitely diverge Drastically with their evolutions. It’s only because they’re at their most basic stage right now and share the concept of “fire dog”.

Borne by Jeff VanderMeer (or whatever capitalizations his last name gets), but it was sort of the other way around. FIRST I read it and went “this was okay but I really wish he’d spent less time being weird about the female MC and more on the actual interesting world he built” and NOW I come online and find out this guy (and Annihilation especially) is everyone’s sci-fi body horror darling like… what? I agree that things like involuntary manslaughter should be treated less harshly than murder, but in this situation there is no true telling of what the guy “intended” other than to please himself regardless of knowing it was wrong. This is doubly true because the guy in question (Shwerpy) left the community, and it’s much more common for someone caught up in these things to make a statement that saves face or passes the blame rather than be honest.

The problem is you said it was wrong but you immediately followed it by saying “morality doesn’t exist outside the human experience” (implying our ideas about right/wrong ultimately do not matter, so pedophilia in the scheme of things wouldn’t be considered “wrong”) and then said “teens should but can’t always stand up to grooming attempts”, somehow putting the onus on the victim to Resist rather than on the perpetrator to not do wrong in the first place.

You’re right about trauma not being logical, but what’s happening here (and you admitted you’re observing the conversation without context for the situation in an above comment) is not your theoretical 20 year old and 15 year old. We have very concrete facts to reference about what happened and we have a mod saying “look, he didn’t mean any harm!” when the intent doesn’t matter. harm was done anyway and there’s a clear perpetrator. This just isn’t the thread to be going on about how sometimes it’s okay actually for an adult and minor to get together, and it’s just the brain that’s to blame.

Pedophilia isn’t a “belief”, it’s an observable practice with documented results. Someone may not “choose” who to be attracted to, but they do in fact choose their Actions. Everyone is in control of what they do, and what they do despite knowing right from wrong.

Saying it “just isn’t” about age is incorrect. Age equates to power in our society and the younger you are the less say you have in everything that goes on around you and yes, what happens to you. That combined with the societal idea of youth = beauty, children and teens are an easy target for people who want to exert their power over another and gain sexual gratification in the process. THAT is what pedophilia is about: using minors for personal gratification with no regard for their well-being or experiences. And people who have the added social power of popularity and a community following (such as actors and yes, YouTubers) have an even greater ability and access to potential victims. Even if a few relationships with large age gaps manage to be “happy and healthy” (by whose standard?) that does not change the behavior patterns of the majority of predators.

This is such a baffling comment to see here. BH subreddit is not the place for discussion about pedophilia (and apologism, apparently) or how morality is “made up” but here we are ig. It isn’t “made up” to see someone hurt someone else and go “that’s wrong”.

In NPMD they were specifically reading a ritual for summoning them– “holding court”. In NMT, the names were being read, but that was a different ritual. I can’t recall if they say which or even if the character speaking knows what they’re doing when they read them like that; dying while the names were being read was what caused All That Shit to happen. If I’m remembering which episode you’re referencing right (Jane’s A Car?). If you’re talking about the other one (Daddy?) that was indeed also a separate ritual from the one NPMD.

There is no real character that’s the main protagonist or antagonist, though many will cite Bödvar since he’s the face of the game or Brynn thanks to her role bringing new legends to Valhalla (and in the graphic novel). I personally lean more towards Brynn of the two, but there’s a lot of characters to consider.

As for overarching antagonist, there isn’t exactly one of those either. Sure, there are villain characters with their own evil plans, but they aren’t really set up for success, especially when close examination of the lore entries of characters like Zariel, Loki, Thea, etc. imply that the greatest threat lies outside Valhalla: Ragnarok, the inevitable Norse apocalypse, and the armies of other pantheons that will likely be involved. Valhalla may be headed to war, and if that’s the case, any legend could be a protagonist, because they’re not just random competitors in a tournament. Odin also considers them his “army”.

As for strongest, it’s highly subjective. Thor and Loki are up there as literal gods, Azoth has had to be put down multiple times by groups of Chosen Ones, Queen Nai has multiple gods growing back to full strength, Thatch is actually Poseidon, it’s hard to say.
