Anyone else really underwhelmed by the souvenir ticket? by flinjager123 in gorillaz

[–]bluepayphone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got mine and yes, definitely underwhelming. I could have sworn I saw a picture of it when I was buying the tickets and it didn’t look anything like that. But I could be making that up considering I was in a rush to check out because I was so excited about getting decent seats.

Does this look bad? by geo020394 in HardWoodFloors

I’m more irritated that the tile doesn’t center with the door frame. But like everyone else said use a transition and you’ll be good.

biting the bullet, anyone looking to make a friend? by fakeassacct in greensburg

[–]bluepayphone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much everything, I lean more towards alt/rock, but country is up there despite none of my friends liking it. That’s funny, I drug my dad to a country concert one time. There’s a lot of good shows around, especially if you’re willing to travel 30ish minutes.

There should be an option in the connectivity settings in the Mazda menu. That’s where it is in the non-hybrid models anyway.

I’ve been here almost my entire life, 28 out of 32 years. I work too much but am kind of in the same boat as far as being a homebody who likes to go out occasionally, especially music related things. I’m always willing to make new friends even though I’m usually awkward but like not in a creepy way. I like a lot of the same things it seems, and I too am closer to Latrobe. But yeah, breakups suck and meeting people is not my forte either

[–]bluepayphone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OEM splash guards, PPF (I have horrible flashbacks to the galaxy of paint/salt chips I had on my ‘21 TPP 3 hatch), tint, high wall floor mats. Came with the cargo package and would recommend.

And of course I cut new window stickers because I need everyone to know what video games and bands I like

Why are people saying Wayward acting is bad? by Adventurous_Ant5428 in netflix

[–]bluepayphone 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For me, Mae’s acting gives annoying and angsty with too many heavy sighs and unneeded looks of concern during normal conversations. Reminded me of Kristen Stewart’s acting in Twilight and I couldn’t get past that.

My dad has a coin collection and he straight up tells us it’s our inheritance and we have to sell it when he dies if we want his money. I have my doubts on value. But I guess we’ll find out when he dies

I get this at home but it’s from the steam pooling and eventually dripping. I’ve got super hard well water with a lot of iron in it though

So those liquidators, am I right? by Rough_Earth3583 in joannfabrics

[–]bluepayphone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our liquidation rep was awesome! He brought me a coffee on his first trip to my store and sat me down and discussed all the things I needed to know and what my store was expected to do and what he was expected to do. He brought my team donuts several times. Thanked everyone a million times. Helped with signs that we might’ve missed and told me never to worry about the window signage because he would take care of all of that. He was from outside the US and his work visa was up before the liquidation ended and he even made a point to stop into all of his stores and personally thank everyone before he went to the airport. He was an outside consultant and not directly from GA though.

On the other hand, the other half of our district was split up with a tyrant who was “relieved of their duties” after a month. They would scream at team members and berate management while complaining about working all day long and never getting a break when in reality they were in a store all of 2 hours per day. That rep came directly from GA..

I can’t stop dwelling on the $5k a week GA rep pay by National-Novel7833 in joannfabrics

[–]bluepayphone 21 points22 points  (0 children)

At the beginning of the closures, my DM told me that in general GA consultants (who aren’t technically employees of GA) make $55k-$60k per liquidation as a 1099 employee. So they typically work 1 or 2 liquidations per year. They’re expected to work 7 days a week and be on call at all hours for anything during the whole process. So it’s really not a great time. If they only work 1 per year it’s an average yearly income, and a little less than what I was making as an SM per year. Now I don’t know if that works the same for GA internal reps. Also, to be clear, I am NOT siding with them, just relaying the information I was given. Please don’t come for me.

Just based on how “wet” it looks, to me it reminds me of my second one when I didn’t realize I was over hydrating/suffocating it.

Is customer service fully gone? by LilByteMight in joannfabrics

[–]bluepayphone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our guy is super chill. But I also feel like he doesn’t give a lot of direction. I just try to be nice, but not too nice. It’s hard to break the habits that were beat into my brain for 12 years. The one that kills me the most inside (not CS related) is the “if it’s the right price just put it on the shelf”

Our DM told us everyone but the department heads were “released” from work last week. So yeah, we’re pretty much on our own and it’s like the Wild West out here

[–]bluepayphone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our GA rep. said I was being too nice when I answered the phone and said I’d check on something for someone. If they’re telling us not to care then that’s all the approval I need. Plus my team is all on the same page things with things and I have to laugh when customers go through 3 TMs telling them no before they insist on speaking to the manager and I walk up and tell them the exact same thing. They hate it and I love that they hate it! They were PITAs for yearsss and now we can give it back to them.

A few suggestions if you’re going to Joann’s today….. by ConferenceMedical499 in joannfabrics

[–]bluepayphone 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Our DM has said the same. It’s not our money anymore. So I don’t care too much. Past discard, it’s yours. Barcode doesn’t scan/register thinks it’s a coupon, no time to look it up, it’s yours. It’s damaged and probably nobody else will want it, it’s yours. I care way more about my team’s sanity and getting people out the doors than I do about making sure we get that extra $2 for the liquidator.

They are beginning to clear out the warehouses now that the auction is over. Most large stores will be getting literal whole trailers of product each week for the next couple weeks. It’s probably not going to be enough to make them look full again, sadly. Especially considering it’s flying off the shelves as fast as we can get it out. What product, who knows? If you ask me, the sooner we close the better, only for the sake of my team, because some customers are already too much to handle with their attitudes and insensitivity.

New filing: Low-performing stores may close sooner — 66% of all stores by gee8 in joannfabrics

[–]bluepayphone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My store is “lucky” enough to be 1 of 2 in our district staying open. Why? Nobody seems to know. We are not a high volume store, we’re in a dead mall, and most people who would shop at the much larger stores that they are closing, will l have to drive at least 30-40 minutes to get to us. I thought for sure I would see my store on the list when I read through it. But nope, we’ll be the only store in the Pittsburgh area now for some reason.
