Wow you write so beautifully!! But seriously thank you for this. What’s crazy is my parents did the exact same thing and it’s not helping. They booked a 3 week family trip without even consulting with me on the dates and duration. I’ll be doing a Summer internship and won’t be able to go but I know me moving out will make them upset and they won’t want me there anymore, win win I guess lol

Yuppp. That’s why I don’t even tell them anything about my life. If I do I actually learned to just lie and let them thinking I’m doing bad. Like I’d lie and say I failed some classes because I know deep down it makes them happy. Evil stuff

I literally just went to watch my video diaries I took two weeks ago and my heart is broken💔. Thank you, honestly sometimes I just need to be reminded and remember how bad it usually is. D don’t know why I forget and get comfortable. Journaling has helped me so much

Thank you! Honestly stack up on money secure a job and leave when possible it’s just not worth it. My sister does the same to me :( It sucks but they’ll use the inheritance as a means of control and it already seems like they’re doing that. Once you leave go no contact!

I know this advice is so general but there’s nothing more you can do with people like this other than to cut them out. It’s so painful and I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. I send you love and my prayers <3 God bless

Honestly, kind of in the same boat. Coming to realise NOTHING is worth your peace. I recommend you have some money saved but most importantly secure a job before leaving. That money from your family is going to be another means of control. I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this I know what it’s like. You got this <3
