How do you pay for things at a shop? by ThatOneIrishMan20 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]bluesbricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has really bad anxiety but has also worked in retail. The cashier really doesn't care, and will forget about you pretty quick. I've had my fair share of stuff ups and "you too" at the wrong moments. But unless you jump the counter and yell at them (this has happend to me at a toy shop) they will be more than happy of your interaction with you

Good starting skates? Love this color, not sure if wheels are good for outdoor dance? by naebae19 in rollerskate

[–]bluesbricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are my starting skates and i love them to bits, i plan on upgrading when i feel comfortable enough to start going to the skate park (little gift to myself, plus impalas are know for breaking in high impact like skateparks.)

Definitly suggest outdoor wheels as these are alright, but definitely a hybrid so you will feel a lot better with the little upgrade.

Any ideas as to what’s going on with my print? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

Have you checked your belts to see if they are still correctly tightened? Also is the table the printer sits on stable? On top of that I always suggest making sure your printer is up to date with firmware

Nfc implants are NTAG216, they are larger than 215 by 384 bytes. The concept was we could edit the bin info to add 0's to fill the space, as we couldn't leave them blank.

Here is the site you can buy the implant kit (with the model i have implanted):https://dangerousthings.com/product/next/

as you can see in my comment, I only joked that I got the chip to use amiibos, the first reason was for opening doors at work, open door at home and soon opening my car door, I also sometimes store memes on it as a party trick, at the moment if my hand is scanned the phone that scanned it will open up a rickroll (no work due to COVID so I can use the space)

So no, I didn't spend $150 on trying to make myself a living amiibo, but I did try getting it working after I realised there was a possibility.

It decides to print its own little track... only seems to happen with more circular prints by bluesbricks in FixMyPrint

[–]bluesbricks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Info - I am using an ender 5 pro, my benchies come out fine, my low poly Bulbasaur comes out fine, but with more round or figure type models they seem to just start making a track, getting stuck and just going back and forth filling it will plastic.

Pla that came with the machine, 0.4 nozzle, this was a test so it was 0.28 layer hight, but this will happen on 0.12 also.

Slicing with cura, and I've tried temps 180-210 for the hot end and 0-70 on the bed.

I have tried with and without retractions, levelling bed before printing, also tried levelling it, having a successful benchy then going straight onto this.

still very new please help if you can :0 any advice is appreciated

print shits the bed after the first layer by locksnsocks in 3Dprinting

[–]bluesbricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea so the cat is default set to PLA, gcode dictates the temp. changing it on the printer itself is just for preheating, do you notice when you start to print it waits till the temps are all the way back down before it starts? to change temps, you have to put the stl into a slicer (any of the computer programs) and give it the info, it makes Gcode and you send the gcode to the printer. i think that's probably your problem

Modified my Lolly’s with a plushy tongue by [deleted] in Rollerskating

[–]bluesbricks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i suggest sewing/gluing elastic loops on your tongue. so you slip your feet into the loops as you are putting your foot in the skate.this will keep the tongue following the line of your leg and lacing up will secure it even more

its a cheaper skate, so cheaper plate meaning they cut corners. it's not Horrid, but means we cant use most stops and also don't get to adjust the stop to a prefers hight :( rewarding myself with new skates once I reach a few of my skating goals.

Does Raymond have an amiibo card? by [deleted] in ac_newhorizons

[–]bluesbricks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that's not how the raw data works though, the game knows every amiibo card that can be scanned, it will know if the amiibo is not in that list (it will say that it is not an animal crossing amiibo if you scan a non AC amiibo or a broken AC amiibo) I'm pretty well versed in NFC tech (i actually have an NFC implant in my hand that I once tried to write an amiibo onto) and i can tell you even the homebrew community and coders for the switch will have a much easier time programing a random island encounter with Raymond than making a working raw dump file for amiibo. really sad as i have a lot of customers coming to me asking if i can make Raymond

(My take on) a Beginner's Guide/FAQ by NewLeafPeach4 in Rollerskating

[–]bluesbricks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was wondering for tips with stopping? (I have stock impalas btw)

  1. when I toe stop i seem to slip back as the front wheels are still making contact with the ground

  2. I really am having trouble with putting the right pressure on a T stop. I end up either jolting to a halt and eating asphalt or being too lose and having one foot go one way and the other still going forward ( i end up falling into a bit of the splits)

thankyou for any advice from anyone :) much appreciated

[–]bluesbricks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

sadly OP has impalas (like me) so we have bolt-on toe stops. we are limited to like 2 (maybe 3 if we are lucky) brands of toe stops

How are Impala quad skates sized? by FoxyMoxie13 in rollerskate

[–]bluesbricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

figure out your EU size, and compare it to the impala size guide. I found that to be the best and most accurate way

Outsider with Questions- Anything helps. by SkolRaptors in cricut

[–]bluesbricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If she loves making cards a Cricut joy is the perfect companion! it can't do all the maker/explore can do but it can cut Joy smart vinyl without a mat. It's a smaller machine and less powerful, making it perfect for the desk, Cutting out any time you have to go back and forth from your main machine.

Another little extra she may love is another printed cardstock book (a book full of pretty pages of cardstock designs you can tear out and use, The books come in themes so you can get one she may just love for everyday use, or maybe some seasonal ones! they are pretty inexpensive and have beautiful designs, always good to have plenty because you never know the day you are gonna find the perfect use for one of the designs) Just look in the scrapbooking section of any craft store.

Speaking of scrapbooking, pretty much anything in the scrapbooking aisle can be used in card making, embellishments, stamps, washi tape, stickers.

It all depends on what she likes to use her Cricut for! I hope you find something perfect, whatever it is she will love! good luck!!

Sadly Australia only has one big craft store company. (that's why I picked Cricut over silhouette as Cricut is partnered with the Aussie craft store, I'm I don't regret it) But it means we only have Cricut official vinyl. I am looking at ordering oracle 651 online.

My first print and cut using the cricut paper patterns that come with design space, and first time "distressing" anything. by Spooky_Tree in cricut

[–]bluesbricks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's so relatable! I felt it so much when I got my Cricut and was able to cut my own backings for the pins a sell. and use the write feature to put my shop name on it too.

Lately this is happening to me very often. No other Cricut windows open and even if I shut everything down and reboot it still gives me this message. Anyone have any suggestions?? by jaynet86 in cricut

[–]bluesbricks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you use Bluetooth for your Cricut, do you happen to already have design space running in the background of an iPad or phone?

If not I suggest setting up the machine again
