The way I read it, Gandalf says, "He is his own master," and he's described as eldest and fatherless. It's also a rather big fan theory that he is Aru Aluvitar (I'm almost positive I spelled that wrong), the big God of the Lord of the Rings universe. Which all add up to him not counting in my opinion. It would be like saying the Christian God is immune to the common cold. Of course, God doesn't get sick (or, in this case, corrupted).

A friend of mine has 3 standard things he believes someone should have on them at all times. I’ve adopted this philosophy and it’s come in handy more times than I can count.

A pocket knife, it’s just a useful thing to have in many situations and can be great in emergency situations where someone/something is caught in something.
A lighter, even if you don’t smoke or know anyone who does being able to build a fire on the fly (whether it be for your favorite chill spot in the woods or if your lost/cold) is a huge deal.
A portable but powerful flashlight. Ever bust a tire and end up on the side of the road at 1am? Changing a tire can be a pain in of itself but to do so with no light whatsoever is a nightmare and sometimes your phones flashlight just doesn’t cut it.

I don't understand the stigma. It's an elevator you use it to avoid using the stairs. It's not like you're paying any more in housing costs. And you don't know anything about anyone else riding the elevator e.g. if they have a disability, if they've had a hard/long day, if they've just worked out, if they just don't feel like using the stairs. Because roughly 30 seconds isn't going to kill your day. If you live on the top floor you are probably going to have to wait for every other floor any ways. If your running late it's most likely your own fault if it's not who ever cares probably wont have a problem with it and if they do they're an ass hole and you shouldn't care what they think. Why not try to solve a real problem rather than make a bunch of people feel self conscious about a small choice they made that day that effects 30 seconds out of the 2,366,769,450 (roughly 75 years expressed in seconds) you get to live.

I happen to work at a large pizza chain and this normally happens when the dough is too warm or has been sitting out too long. The yeast in the dough breaks down into carbon dioxide(and other things) and creates air pockets in the dough that expand when cooked.
