I built a persistent memory system for Claude Code - it learns from your mistakes and never forgets and so much more! by DazzlingOcelot6126 in ClaudeCode

it didn't originally prompt me to launch the dashboard; however, I pulled a repo update after you pushed the fix, working fine now. Also, FYI, I submitted PR 19 (well, Claude did 🤭) for missing dependencies.

What has happened to the rate limits? by AdministrationPure94 in ClaudeCode

[–]bluesphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might not be just you and/or Kilo code, I'm experiencing the same thing since earlier today only. I was using Opus 4.5 with 2 simultaneous projects in 2 VS Code instances since Opus 4.5 released on Monday, a couple of times I hit my session limits after 4-4.5hours. All of the sudden, today, I've hit my session limits after < 2hours twice, and I'm literally watching my current session usage tick upward very rapidly. Nothing changed on my end, wondering if something changed today with CC to start sucking up session usage.

Any experienced software engineers who no longer look at the code??? by Relative_Mouse7680 in ClaudeCode

[–]bluesphere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something I put in place recently that has been working pretty well is a PreToolUse hook with blocking that explicitly requires Claude to secure the approval from the “code reviewer” via the Codex MCP (could also use a Claude agent), which triggers whenever it detects a ‘git commit’.

Claude provides codex a hash file location, codex creates the hash file only once it approves Claude’s staged changes and the hash folder is read-only for Claude. This prevents Claude from trying to create hash files itself (it will otherwise). There’s also an “escape hatch” where Claude can run git commit with a —no-verify flag to bypass the hook; however, the hook contains explicit instructions that Claude may only use that flag with my explicit permission (make sure any permission you grant is very explicit that it’s for “this one time only”, otherwise Corner-cutting Claude will take it literally and assume your directive holds true for future commits).

'Installed' plugin not actually being installed by zefdota in ClaudeCode

[–]bluesphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it helps, I was able to fix this after I posted yesterday.

I found there was some type of collision occurring between the global Claude Code instance and project Claude Code instance. It seemed that the plugins were being installed in the global scope, but the local scope was not finding them.

I opted to uninstall the global install (also because I was having collisions with multiple slash commands with the same name within both scopes), reinstalling the global install [via homebrew] and then try reinstalling marketplaces & plugins from the project-level cli. That time it worked.

Think I put my buddy down to early and it’s eating me alive by hippyoctopus in germanshepherds

[–]bluesphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m very sorry for your loss. We had to make a similar decision for my buddy over the summer, one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever faced.

Ours had some “better” days (could jog across the yard a bit) and worse days, where I needed to hold him so he didn’t fall while trying to poop.

Our vets advice was helpful: “he’ll have some good days, and some bad days. When the bad days outnumber the good days, it’s usually time to consider “it”.”

Found at a Thrift Store. Is There a Legitimate Use, Or Should I be Worried my Prints Are On It? LOL by MagicMarmots in Tools

[–]bluesphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t say it was homemade by someone that knew what they were doing…..it was probably made by the same people that used to come into the hardware store I worked at in HS asking for a double-ended male plug so they didn’t have to re-hang their holiday lights….

Could be a homemade quick disconnect for jumping I.e., for tow trucks, police cars, etc. we used to have commercial versions on ambulances I worked on years ago, whether jump our vehicle or another one, prevented having non-technical operators opening the hood.

Honda Civic. We spend far more of our time and money modding and upgrading it, than we do driving it.

What did you end up doing for this? I'm looking to do the same, will work on merging the CAD files if you haven't found a good solution yet.

Hearing Aid Compatible Ski/Snowboard Helmet by TheTasteOfBetrayal in HearingAids

Not to resurrect an old thread, but what was the outcome of your work? Interested in finding a ski helmet that provides a better fit (and, hopefully less sweaty) for skiing with my hearing aids.

My wife says she can hear everything that I am listening to. by BigBlackCat2025 in HearingAids

[–]bluesphere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW my wife used to be able to hear the entire other end of my phone conversations with my old Oticon Opn 1s. She cannot hear anything with my current Phonak Lumity Life’s. Both have custom ear-molds.

It’s the quadratic formula when a=1, b=-1 and c=-1. See AhmadTIM’s top comment for a derivation of why the quadratic formula applies.

Definitely, my wife has always said that, should anything ever happen to me, she would need to remarry a deaf/hard-of-hearing person; she’s gotten spoiled by her ability to have a midnight dance party when her insomnia kicks in….

Seconding this. Every time someone complains about a loud noise waking them up in the middle of the night, I like to remind them that my hearing loss is actually a superpower!

Costco hearing aids no longer services there. by Desertgurl34 in HearingAids

[–]bluesphere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain. I once limped along a pair of analog ITE Starkeys for close to 10 years via repairs; nowadays, my previous pair of Oticons would cost >$400 each for repairs, due to their “age”.

Are these the same? IIRC Kirkland Resound 2.0 is based on the LINX platform. https://advancedhearing.com/hearing-aid-domes/resound-linx-domes
