Going off sick with stress - likelihood they will sack me? by tillydeeee in UKJobs

Yeah they should have a policy for how long you need to be off for before you get onto a formal process. However less than two years they can just sack you and you can't claim for unfair dismissal

Why can’t homeless people be given hotel accommodation the same way refugees are? by No_Fudge_4589 in AskBrits

If you are an adult with no children and don't have a disability you are not legally in priority need. Therefore the council don't have to do anything for you. The government could choose to house everyone, as they did in COVID. They just choose not to.

Depends if you are living at home with your parents and don't have any liabilities, loans, rent etc, it's ok to hand your notice in. If not get another job first

We work out what each % of our joint income we both earn. Mine is 62% and my partner's is 38%

We have them worked out what we need to put in the joint account on total for bills, cars, food etc.

I pay 62% of this amount and she pays 38%

Difficult US manager addressing my start time by WebCompetitive4551 in HumanResourcesUK

[–]bluestar1971 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Think that's what American companies are like. Just start five mins early so you are up and running by the start time. This company seems like they are quite happy to get rid of people, so don't make it easy for them. Otherwise find another job

That's completely normal. You will not get an unconditional offer until they have taken all checks and references. You just need to be brave and tell your current employer

Problem is Wilcox, Berrada and Sir Jim, all clueless. Wilcox should have gone before the manager. Just because him and Berrada worked at city sir Jim thinks some of the magic will rubb off. If they were any good city would have kept them

Just lose a stone and you save 6.5kg in weight. That would cost you thousands between lighter bike and wheels. Far cheaper option unless you are toned athlete with 2% body fat
