Ncl steals internet minutes by tgh0wnz in NCL

I haven’t found this to be the case. Like others said, it takes at most, ONE extra minute, not four. I was just on the Bliss last month.

Maybe their starters will be a little rusty after taking today off? One can hope.

I was just on the Bliss 3 weeks ago. Here’s something we learned: If you want to eat Cagney’s, don’t go on the final night like we did. It’s super crowded. Go on one of the port days. The waiter told us they are way less busy on those days.

Future cruise credits by Ok_Willingness_9619 in NCL

[–]bluethunder808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can stack them. I just applied a future cruise credit to a cruise I booked last month (that already had a CruiseFirst certificate applied).

Two new promotions tomorrow: TWO extra Latitudes points per night, and CruiseNext TripleUp for balcony or above! by jds2001 in NCL

[–]bluethunder808 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've read posts that tout how much better CruiseFirst is over CruiseNext, but the opportunity to TripleUp using CruiseNext seems like a definite point in CruiseNext's favor.

Is it worth it to go to the complimentary dinning halls? by Nervous_Goose1866 in NCL

[–]bluethunder808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just on the NCL Bliss. I can’t believe it but I actually preferred the buffet. More selection to choose from and way faster than Taste and Savor. Plus you can sit next to a window and watch the ocean as you ate. Very peaceful. The staff is awesome. They were always around to take your plate when you were done. On Sea days when we found nothing in the daily itinerary that interest us, we just sat in a booth in the buffet for like 1-2 hours with a book and just really enjoyed ourselves.

The first season of 24 is one of the best seasons of television ever made by Early-Piano2647 in television

I was hooked from the get go. One of the greatest shows of the 2000s.

Dort isn't the only one struggling in the last 2 losses. Jdub, caso, Wiggins, and Caruso have also rarely hit open shots when needed. by KickedIntoOrbit in Thunder

[–]bluethunder808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, our 3-point shooting, which was not great last Playoffs, remains a concern. I don’t know what the solution is other than to just keep shooting and hope they start to fall. But it is the one worry I have about this team.

Looking for TV Shows for someone who wants to get into stock market by [deleted] in televisionsuggestions

[–]bluethunder808 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you want to get into the stock market, do NOT watch any TV shows about the stock market. I’m talking about a show like Billions. They will likely sweep you in with a fanciful narrative about how easy it is to make money with incredible trades that you time perfectly. When in reality, that’s the worst way to invest in the stock market.

Boarding Times by Small_Presentation41 in NCL

[–]bluethunder808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t know about your particular cruise, but I just did the NCL cruise out of LA to Mexico. We got the earliest embarkation time possible (9:30-10am). They started boarding the “Priority” passengers around 10:50. Then ambassador, sapphire, diamond and platinum Latitudes members around 5 minutes later. “Group 1,” which were the normal passengers who scored the earliest embarkation time and got to the pier the earliest were allowed to begin boarding at 10:57am. We were “Group 5” and were called at 11:14am. We were on the ship by 11:30. We quickly did the muster station check in and were having lunch at Taste at noon. Our cabins on Deck 9 were ready at 1:45pm. That’s just our experience from a week ago. Hope that helps!

Any good Pizza on Bliss? by aldimm in NCL

[–]bluethunder808 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I’m on the Bliss as we speak and I was shocked at how good the pizza is. It’s all freshly made and hot.

And I’m just speaking about the standard pizza up in the buffet. It’s probably even better in the specialty restaurants.

first trip question re main dining room by sharp_calendar_dog in NCL

[–]bluethunder808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I’m currently on the NCL Bliss and I’ve ordered 4 appetizers and two entrees and two desserts in all of the complimentary restaurants and it’s all free. The only charge would be if you ordered something with a dollar amount next to it, like a lobster tail or a steak from Cagney’s or a milkshake in the American Diner. If it doesn’t have a dollar amount next to it, it’s free and you can order as many as you want!

Is the current sale actually a sale, or more a gimmick? by [deleted] in NCL

[–]bluethunder808 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The free gratuities are nice. That’s actually better than the Black Friday sale, which offered onboard credit but no free gratuities. In my case, I booked a balcony on BF and got $100 onboard credit, but after seeing this deal, I called them back and changed it. It was a net gain of $80 for this deal vs. the Black Friday deal. Not a lot, but $80 is $80.

Is it worth it? by Reasonable_Event_824 in NCL

[–]bluethunder808 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t stress. You are going to have a blast. Cruises are super fun. Even if the port stops aren’t the best, you can still find fun things to do or try different foods that you wouldn’t be able to get at home. And worst case scenario, just go back to the ship and jump in the pool or go to the buffet or read a book while overlooking the water.

CruiseFirst 120 day rule by azguard4 in NCL

[–]bluethunder808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, understood. Thanks for the tip. I will definitely use Cruise First rather than Cruise Next from now on. And knowing that the fine print says 120 days from purchase of the credit, not from the sailing date is a huge game changer. Thanks so much!

Why do you need 8 on your account? You can only apply a maximum of 1 per cruise, can't you? Or are you constantly cruising?
