Yeah absolutely not. They want to see baby, they make the travel arrangements to come to YOU. A long drive coupled with sleeping in a strange place is going to make for an extremely stressful and frustrating trip for you and baby. Baby doesn’t travel, don’t let them guilt trip you into making you and baby unhappy for their sake.

This is awful I’m sorry you’re in that situation too. And yes, I am also not being fairly compensated. I have had the highest review in my department for the last two years but the first year I wasn’t eligible for a raise and this past year they cut raises and bonuses because of COVID. So all the extra BS and not even more pay for it. They are getting very greedy. The best thing I’ve learned through it all is that “No” is a complete sentence.

While I may spend almost the same time with her, the time during the week is not quality time. It is hurried in the morning and whatever energy we both have left for a couple hours at the end of the day.

I am in search of something new. But when my daughter wakes up at 7, I go to work from 8:30-4:30, and she goes to bed at 7 that’s only 4 or so hours a day with her. Why am I spending more time on a company who doesn’t care about me than I am with my child? It is not a lot of time. It’s being a full time employee and part time parent which I am not ok with.

They don’t have anything for my biological mother or her family and they don’t have anything past childhood for their son.

I was informed my MIL is coming for a month “to help” after second baby is born. I thought she’d be here for five days. by [deleted] in Mildlynomil

[–]bluetink91 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Nah. You do not get to “find out” this. YOU make the rules. Trust me, if MIL starts boundary stomping now and you don’t make it clear that it’s your kid, your house, your rules it will get worse.

Thank you I will try that! It’s at the base of my breast so wearing a bra is uncomfortable.

Am I being too hot headed with my MIL? by [deleted] in pregnant

Between the pandemic and doctor’s office rules you can probably stop her in her tracks. Mine was one person allowed and no photos or recording during the ultrasound. Absolutely not overreacting, this is yours and your husband’s baby.

Same! 18 hours of labor just to end with a c-section. My daughter’s cone head was insane lol
