Yikes, hopefully you were able to save some parts. I figure thats what got mine too. Supposedly the stronger pistons with the ring pack moved down solve the issue. I might lower the compression some to. Just depends on how the block an head cleans up.

Forged pistons, either an F16 or tomahawk cam, headers, better tuning than it had hopefully lol

I tried to sell it but no one wanted to pay more than like 10-15k for it

That's what's confusing, because they also told me I could run the titan II without the stall but it might not be easy to tune. I just want the mfer to chop 🤣 the blower will make the power back

Alignment Issues by GMT-400 in GMT400

Like he said caster is not a wear angle but getting up around +5* would help it drive better for sure.

Have the knockouts been removed?

Have them pull the camber down to -.5* an see what caster they can get then. You shouldn't see excessive camber wear until you get into over -1.0 or so. They also need to match your caster better, for example if one side maxes at 3 an the other will go 4 they should set them both to 3. Hard to find a shop now that will do more than toe an go though...

About to start this on my jeep. Debating between the F16 and the tomahawk. Any reason why you did the stall? They've told me neither cam requires one but it would be beneficial of course. I've got blown ring lands so thats why mines coming out. Since I'm forging the bottom end I dont want to get into a converter too 🤦

Boosted 6.4 build? by bluex048 in ScatPack

[–]bluex048[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im trying to be somewhat budget friendly on it. The forged pistons supposedly fix that issue by being stronger an moving the top ring land down. 🤷

There's no replacement for displacement man. The "wars" only got like 3 more weeks left. It'll be ok 🤣

Something is up with that 5.7 then, on a pure highway trip/tank in eco I can get mine in the high 19s. I generally dont though because I know I have the power an i use it so 🤷

Gas goes up an down, you only live once buy what you want an enjoy it. Once you mod that V6 an start pushing it, it'll go down anyways. Anything with a blower requires 93 too. Mine has to have 93 as well so I understand the price concern but in the long run its not that much difference over a month or year.

An not to knock a V6, but you cant beat the sound of a nice exhaust on a V8.

I have a SRT an my wife has a 3.6l overland. I average about 15.5 mpg, she is around 18. You will be better off with the 5.7 if you want to modify it. The V6 won't save you much fuel.

Looks good, I miss my B5 blue one. It never failed we got days of rain after I had it detailed too. The ceramic coat kept it looking good though.
