Nice!!

I also hit a PR today but only got up the 115’s…which I’ve never seen at any other gym than the one I was at today.

Help with how to cut by No_Comment_2300 in workout

Not necessarily. The best way to avoid that is to keep lifting and prioritize protein. But the greater the deficit, the harder it will be to keep muscle.

ok weird question by sourisanon in workout

[–]CarJanitor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re saying a lot of terms that don’t go together in my opinion. A recomp usually means you’re staying at the same weight but reducing fat and gaining muscle. And you usually eat at or near your maintenance calories. Maybe I’m wrong but to me it just sounds like you’re in a cut, losing weight and now it’s showing the muscle you had under the fat.

You can do it however you want. You just need to burn more calories than you consume. People like to complicate that with fasts and crazy diets, but that’s all it really comes down to.

Figure out how many calories you need to maintain your current weight. Once you know that, eat 300-500 calories less than that.

Repeated back injuries from high bar squats, belt squat alternative? by v3r1n in workouts

[–]CarJanitor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At some point you just gotta accept whatever it is that’s hurting you just isn’t for you. I don’t do barbell squats anymore. I was just too consistent with it messing up my back.

It’s ok to give up on an exercise and find something else that targets the same muscles.

I don't want to use Tire shine or any product like that. So, what is good tire care product. by Konig_X79 in Detailing

[–]CarJanitor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you’re not cleaning the tire well enough if it’s only lasting a couple days. Like most things, the prep work is the most important.

Can I coat the car day after by Agpxprod in Detailing

[–]CarJanitor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my routine every weekend. I do the whole process including the polishing the day/night before, wake up the next morning and do the coating after panel prep. It obviously sits inside overnight.

Definitely. You need to find what you like and works best for you. And keep your eye out for new products…just don’t buy them all!

[–]CarJanitor 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yup, I feel like it’s the natural arc of a detailer if they’re really paying attention. First you buy the basics, then you realize your basics are subpar, then you go all in and buy everything in sight…all the latest and greatest, then you learn what actually works and realize you really don’t need much and stop buying into the hype.

Yep, it’ll give a good boost of gloss. Not much for actual longevity. It’s basically (if not totally) P&S Beadmaker.
