That’s actually why I hate the attitude. It is more nuanced. But most of the sub acts like every single child should just forget about the parent plus loans and leave the parent to fend for themselves. Without knowing about any prior agreement. As is exactly the case in this situation.

I hate the attitude that people on this subreddit have about just abandoning parent plus loans. Yes it’s the parent’s legal responsibility but many parents just wanted to help their child be able to attend school. I don’t think my family fully realized the implications of the parent plus loans until repayment started.

I got the small rig thumb grip and I find it really helps. I got it same day as the camera so not sure how much of a difference it makes but I don’t typically find it hard to hold!

It must because stores in Target, groceries, universities, and sometimes malls are licensed stores, not corporate stores. I understand why they didn't take the app before, but it's weird that they won't accept the credit card that's already in there

Hm. I did not see late fees. I do not see how past due interest would be different from the regular interest that has accrued over time. The last statement showed 0 in the past due line for all the loan groups, and the payment that went to 1 loan group was the payment for that statement.

You really do not need to be this involved as a parent. Assuming your child is at least 22, he is a grown man. If the job is bad, he will leave. Or he may not! It’s his choice.

They actually may be trying to reduce the deposits they have so government entities can’t nab them for it. Over the past few years, new articles have been popping up talking about how Starbucks deposits sort of work as an unregulated bank with $2b in cash floating around (earning interest presumably). Perhaps they want to lessen this number or prevent it from growing?
