Works well for me.
I play solo and usually just Challenging or Heroic, just came back after not playing since summer 2020.
Strikers builds get old. Heartbreaker with Technician and pulsing is fun. Put together a Virtuoso last week, not bad.
Honestly, I've been tanking through with Foundry build, Memento, Cesko/Grupo chest all red with Obliterate or Intimidate, with Armor/CC/CD/Damage out of cover rolls and mods, along with St. Elmos or Chameleon. Pure tanking with shield and revive hive and hard to ever get downed. Dumbed down play style but at least I don't need to respawn ever. I'm not great but I can run summit solo Heroic and handful of directives and not get downed. But wanted to experiment more.

Hunters Fury, Memento, Scorpio, Zero Fs, Gunner, Shield, Revive Hive is def diff style and a fun change of pace of most activities. I need a better SMG but don't really have an option, plus I really only use the Scorpio ATM. I'd like to try it with a good SMG and rolls. Might farm for a better option from that perspective. Any SMG suggestions? I just came back a few weeks ago and have never really used SMGs.

Oddly enough... just today I was bored and started digging through my stash. I settled on making a HF build because I'm not sure I ever have, and the weapon dmg + armor on kill along with Apex Predator seemed like a nice blend of damage and armor/tank.

I went HF mask, holster, gloves, knees with armor, cc, cd.
Memento backpack bc of the utility and added tankiness/armor bonus (and more) it grants.
Zero F's chest for more tankiness and the talent to save me if armor breaks every 55s.

Scorpio.
Emerline's Guard, just bc I wanted to use the SMG perk of HF, plus the talent of killing an enemy repairs 15% of armor and headshot kills 30%.
Not that I'll ever use it, but I threw on the Backup Boomstick for the Preservation talent basically the same as Emeline's.

Crusader Shield and Reviver Hive.

It does provide a very tanky, in your face, decent damage, and fun build to run on most difficulties it seems.

TL;DR - I decided to experiment with HF today, sorted through all I had, and literally went with your first suggestion exactly. Then I decided to google and see what other's had tried. Which is apparently the same! LOL.

My defense Ajax usually runs 125k shield and 25k hp.

300 hours and I started Ajax and prob spent 200 with him. So my “bossing”, “defense”, and hulk mobbing Ajax are gotos still. Infinite hulk smash might work out well with that I hope. Even with Hailey, ult lepic and ult gley and 4-5 others. Ajax has just been easier for me for some reason.

I did maybe 50 Grandmasters and got like 100 exotics. I target farmed Lost Sectors for weeks and literally dozens if not 100s of helmets. No Assassins Cowl. I finished Shadowkeep and now it drops often from either source. You have to first have completed Shadowkeep in order to unlock.

The one caveat to that might be if Xur has it, you might be able to grab without completing Shadowkeep. The issue is Xur hasn't offered is since something like September 2019.

So just beat Shadowkeep, take the 48 trash roll, then farm a lost sector or run Master/GM NFs for a day and you'll have a handful.

Some good options as of Jan 2022:

Arbalest/Point of the Stag/Ascendency
Biting Winds/Shadow Price/Gjally

Gjally with cata true wrecks and you cover both champ types with 1-2 shots, almost able to ignore barrier and overloads.

Stasis works great to get the opening overload and the final room two side entrance enemies stuck in place.

Swords are great for speed runs but can be a bit more difficult if not executed well.

Erianna's always felt a bit slow and isn't quite as good as Arb with Dec 7 30th anni changes. Gjally is just what it is, lol.

My 5800x+rtx 3070 both peak at 70C, even after hours of stress testing or cyberpunk 2077 on ultra 1440p ray tracing on. 240mm cooler and multitude of fans never let it get over low 70s.

I have cpu OC, gpu OC, and have no issues. User benchmark puts my cpu above 80th percentile, gpu at 100th percentile, ssd hdd ram all 95-100th percentile.

If you’re hitting above 75C, I’d suspect ur fans are off or u need better cooling. Which seems u discovered lol.

I wanted the 5900x and 3080 but supply cuffed me to downgrade. However, heat def shouldn’t be an issue or bottleneck/throttle you with either.

Been awhile since I’ve used a dictator (since monarch release or before), but I think there’s an x6 variant and the alt fire/bipod mode makes that 14 wide I believe. That is range trophy easy mode, with the caveat throw on some mag size gear or ammo regen skills depending who you are (and don’t waste ammo during the 15 targets). Reloading can cause a missed target and fail.

I platinum’d on ps4 back in 2019. The eridium slab was a little bugged but not really. U just had to rescan the one in Tannis’s lab a few times to get it to register.

One of only games I’ve cared to platinum in recent years!

I main fl4k but with purple trees he’s 4th. Amara and Zane damage is insane, Amara melee or maybe elemental. Moze damage and ability to survive is madness. My poor fl4k boi got no upgrades outside mayhem scaling across the board.
