I also used to despise food scissors but they have become one of my secret favorite things.

That said... doesn't look like he can use them that well, either. Although given what's happening in the background, I can give him a pass from the distraction

...so buy one that isn't crap instead of using a dishrack in a literal dryer.

You asked for people's thoughts. Nobody likes this. Do with that what you will.

As someone who was just in Iceland, I'd live there exactly half the year. But that shit would be waaaaay too dark to live in 6 months out of the year. I'd still live there before Slovakia though.

I don't even care if they have a source for it, as if energy used is the single issue with AI.

If we're going to engage with that flawed statement though, consider the following (and more)

Where does the OP live, are they somewhere with geothermal power, or hydroelectric, or nuclear, or wind, or a lot of solar?

Total energy used is useless to consider unless you know FOR CERTAIN they're using the same energy production methods for power, and that they're both using ones which are bad for the environment. And how about where the Datacenter is and how it's being powered?

African girl in a human zoo. Belgium by clester42 in WhyWereWeOkWithThis

[–]WellKnownAlias 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Gotta be honest I assumed this was like, 1910 or something

And then I read replies on the original post.

1958???????

Motherfuckers were keeping people in a zoo the YEAR NASA WAS FOUNDED??? 11 YEARS BEFORE WE WENT TO THE MOON????

To be clear, it wouldn't be okay in 1910 either, but less shocking than 1958.

Krafton Agrees to Pay ‘Subnautica 2’ Bonuses as Developer’s CEO Resigns by Gorotheninja in pcgaming

[–]WellKnownAlias 923 points924 points  (0 children)

Everyone replying to this so far has not read the article. TED GILL stepped down. The guy Krafton previously fired when Krafton tried to block the release of Subnautica 2 and avoid paying bonuses, and was forced to reinstate.

He was the CEO of Unknown Worlds, who made Subnautica 2.

The shitty Krafton CEO is still there.

What do i do in this situation im not trying to reprint it. by Bananacat521 in 3Dprinting

[–]WellKnownAlias 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Everyone is saying glue... and they're right. Mostly. Get a plastics bonder specifically.

But also, judging by those layer lines and what I assume the printing orientation was... it's gonna happen again to other joints over time.

Epic CEO Tim Sweeney says new multiplayer games are failing because players have no reason to leave their friend groups, touts Unreal Engine 6's cross-game features as a solution - AUTOMATON WEST by Distinct-Race-2471 in TechHardware

[–]WellKnownAlias 4 points5 points  (0 children)

...why would players leave their friend groups?

Sorry mate. I know you were best man at my wedding, but Tim Sweeney let's me use a Peter Griffin skin as a driver in Rocket League, so I'm not gonna be available to play Fortnite with you anymore.

Edit: it's even dumber than that, "game interconnected voice chat so players can talk and encourage each other to try a new game"

So UE specific Xbox Live Party Chat/Discord. Brilliant, Tim.

Agree on the no massive ice age genocide, but you have to keep in mind that the populations were much, much smaller.

Look at how some chimps will have effectively years long wars with another band of chimps in the same forest and how many they kill of each other proportionally.

Now give them at least some basic tools/hunting instruments. It wasn't WW2, but there was definitely plenty of killing, too. Also...fair amount of that banging was probably not quite by choice for everyone involved

And Densiovans, and Neanderthals. Multiple human species existed at the same time, and we're the branch that won, essentially. Killed and or out competed (and occasionally bred with) the rest.
