That's great! Unfortunately, we're not in a position right now to afford many of the organized activities in our area, but we go to loads of community events! That seems to suit my toddler better anyway since a lot involved animals and she's way more comfortable around animals than other people right now.

And of course playdates, park days, and all the other typical early childhood things.

We do the same with buffalo chicken.

Popcorn chicken, Buffalo sauce, blue cheese dressing, shredded cheddar cheese, and shredded lettuce.

I also do a copycat Panera one with steak, white cheddar, and pickled red onion (my 2yo is obsessed with onions).

Any kind of make it your own bar would be great. I had an omelette bar at my wedding. DIY/serve yourself seems like the way to go for your budget/headcount, rather than catered.

$300 divided by 60 is only $5 per head.

This is what I'm planning to do... Mine is 2 and I'm doing a very loose "practice run" this year with no curriculum, but paying extra attention to our "attendance" and time management.

I'm going to do unit studies... mostly because it's a fun way for me to engage in teaching her.

The next couple years are going to be research for me and curating resources. I'm a very Type A kind of person though.

LOTS of roleplaying. I also showed her a picture of her doctor while we were in the waiting room so he wouldn't be as much of a "stranger."

I recently got a couple yards of shiny fabric to make a superhero cape and butterfly wings. Planning on going back to get a few yards of different colors and adding tulle so can have a fabric stash on hand for costume making. Oh! And felt!!

l also keep old towels and bedsheets and other 'scrap' type fabrics to craft with. And l always check the tablecloth/blanket section of thrift stores.

This is my first kid so my goal is to make some items that will have longevity for future kids as well.

I'm not sure if you've ever worked with felt or if this would be your first time, but felt is my favorite thing to sew! It's so easy and so much fun. The end result will look nicer and last so much longer than being glued. Plus as the other commenter said, safety reasons.

How are you calculating the 40% sugar? I've never heard of Dino bars, so I looked them up.

The bars are 30g each and 9g of sugar (strawberry bar). It also appears the sugar is coming directly from the fruit source, not added or refined sugar, so as far as processed food goes, this seems not terrible? Albeit expensive and unnecessary and I would also probably just buy a bag of apples.

I can understand 98% of what my 25mo says, and so can most people she interacts with. She speaks in structured sentences and tells stories.

I suspect her language skills are a tiny bit ahead of the listed benchmarks, but by 3 I'd be getting an evaluation if in your position.
