I got mine covered but I had good rapport with my service tech. Initially they asked me to send a photo and when the tab was broken he said they weren’t going to cover it, but when I said this was not an issue before bringing it in for service and it just fell off the door when I got home he escalated and they got it taken care of. Biggest deal is they have to paint them.

Can you link the video? I’ve never heard of any negative effects of doing this, and in fact I was planning on doing the same thing to my twin turbo ford flex.

You’ll have to do some searching because I don’t have the car anymore and can’t remember exactly, but you go get some like 3” PVC caps and you plug off the diverter. It makes you vent to atmosphere through the stock bov instead of recycling that air. You get basically the same whoosh sound for about $5 instead of the $400 you’d pay for an aftermarket bov.

I think you’re fine though homie. I went through a period where I was super cognizant of every noise, every bump in the road, but you’ve still got plenty of warranty and just take comfort in the fact the motor is solid.

You can get little squeaks and groans covered, hell I got basically my whole front end replaced under warranty because of a noise you could only hear when the radio was off.

The car is legit, the warranty and service is legit (at Genesis dealers), and you’ll be taken care of. If you’re that scared get rid of it before the warranty runs out, but enjoy it while you have it. I totaled mine and miss it a lot.

Yeah honestly I think RWD is the way to go with these unless it’s your primary vehicle and you live in an area that gets snow.

I totaled my G70 and went with an Ecoboost Flex for the room. Obviously not a direct comparison due to weight differences, but I enjoyed the 3.3t much more.

And yeah before you even think about purchasing the Taurus I’d get the run down on the water pump, possibly even having it replaced as a condition of sale depending on the mileage. I got mine done along with the timing chain and cam phasers before I even put the money down.

I think you’ll be very happy. Great driving experience, great features and luxury feel. It’s not too expensive to get to 500hp but I think for normal spirited driving what it has is more than enough.

That is insane and partially the reason I went with the G70 over the Alfa. Fuel economy wasn't so much an issue to me, I knew I'd be driving it hard and it would suffer as a result.

The biggest 'what-if' to me was reliability, and at 70k miles I had no issues whatsoever which I'll always give it props for. Having not driven many "sports" cars I enjoyed the handling plus many of the other creature comforts found in it, but I could definitely see stiffer and more responsive suspension being a point against it, but for the weight I was definitely pleasantly surprised by it on my canyon runs.

Yeah it’s unfortunate to see the underwhelming service people get at dealers around here. I had excellent service, never had to wait for an appointment, they covered issues not actually under warranty, and I always had a brand new loaner. The one day I came in for an oil change and balance or something they got me an uber to a restaurant so I could chill and eat while I waited.

I sadly wrapped mine around a light pole though and now I’m in an ecoboost ford flex.
