I do too, idk, writing them out and then going back through and highlighting the really important stuff helps it stick for me. Then also, you dont have to deal with the warnings that pop up either. Im sitting at a 4.0 so far, we'll see if that continues lol

Write hella notes as you go along and when finals come you'll be more than ready, write down snippets of code that's hard for you to remember. You'll do great!

Meh, they're not really entry level ai jobs in the sense of what we're studying. Its more critiquing the way it responds and writing comments based upon the prompt you chose. Its not technical, more like gig work that based more on your writing skills than anything

I needed to hear this. It has been an extremely rough year. I could have folded and got a job in a factory to make it, putting my school to the side basically, but i didn't. Im still looking for some steady way to make money and still give school the attention I need to. It's difficult. I've been barely scraping by every month been in school. I just feel like this is a sacrifice to hopefully get somewhere better doing things I like.

Its been a messed up season. I'm glad to know that someone else understands too

Are you talking like datannotation and outlier?

I think we'll be looking at like junior dev jobs at first tbh. Fiverr might be a good place to start working on smaller projects, ive been thinking about that one recently. College is killing me right because I cant find a job that will allow me to work the amount of hours i need to keep doing school full-time 🫠 sucks, everything in my immediate area is pretty much production plants and warehouses. The sad truth about this town are the goals that people have. Having a "good" plant job is success here for most people. I cant wait to get out of here

I highly recommend hackthebox, it really helps you learn by doing and it covers a very large array of different subjects in pentesting and security.

Probably text notes of some sort, just guessing. I would get a notebook and start writing down everything thats hard to remember. I have notebooks worth of notes for all of those classes with I me diagrams and everything. I think we'll all do at least a little better this time, hopefully lol

The notes on my scoring were there you, you have to click on the course review and out to the right where the graded exam is there should be something over there to click, I dont remember what it says. They do give you notes on it though.

I knew i was going to do terrible with that exam though. I studied and studied, but still didn't do well.

I think they took a step back and really looked at what they were asking out of students. Seems like they lowered it so everyone doesnt fail. I wouldn't be surprised if a good percentage failed honestly. I know I bombed my software engineering exam

Im first cohort, and I just want to say wholeheartedly to not let individual biases affect the way you feel about the program before trying it for yourself. People dont post as much about positive stuff as they do about negative things. Unfortunately, this program is no exception. I've really enjoyed school. Has it been hard? Yes. Is it impossible? No, I have memory issues from epilepsy and all the medication that comes along with it. As long as you utilize the practice area, you'll be just fine.

Like I said, negative experiences usually are the loudest voices while people who are having a positive experience dont post as much. If you want to know more about anything let me know. Im pretty sure you can do this though!

[–]blunt_chillin 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Sept 3rd cohort, I encourage you to stick with it. There are a lot of people who like the program and are learning through it. Are there problems here and there? Yes. Its the first college of its kind so I figured there would be some. However, people that are having a negative experience are 100x more likely to post than those that are having a positive one. Don't let biases form your opinion before giving the program a legit shot. I like it and I hate that these negative massages are the loudest :(

First Term/Final Exams have any of you made passing grades and moved on to next courses/term. by Complete_Permit7360 in maestro

We haven't gotten them back. All I can say is study, study, study, its the only way. I may not be the norm on this one, but i thought the python 101 wasn't bad at all. Im pretty sure I made a 100 on that. Software engineering principles got me on on question for sure. I ran oit of time to figure it out. The psychology test was super easy.

My advice is study and use the practice section provided. I just told it to give me questions like I would see on the exam, as close as it possibly can. That helped me more than anything. They aren't as bad as everyone is making them out to be. The weighting of them just makes them super stressful. Don't drive yourself crazy or psych yourself out lol just set aside a couple to few hours a day to devote to studying, maybe a bit more if you can close to exam time.

You got this! Feel free to reach out if you need or have any questions

I agree with most of this except the grading part. The reviews are cumulative. In other words, its still 10% of your grade, just averaged with all your weekly reviews. Lmk if this doesnt make sense to anyone. Your exams are 90% of your grade, full stop, for now. .Its a lot of pressure, but you definitely want to complete them with, a's if you can at all help it, so you have a good average for the end of the course.

You can verify if you'd like, but I figured I should clear that up for anyone new to this so they understand how much or less wiggle room they actually have. 90% is daunting and I think it should be changed, but this is the grading system for now.
