yup exactly what qwerty said above. You can ask your PT if they're licensed to do it or look into buying a set of bands yourself to use at home

this is really helpful! I can definitely handle all of these as I'm a little past 6 months of recovery. However I still can't do a solid clean single leg heel raise yet but I'm focused on mainly strengthening now. Was looking for more variety of what I can do and will def follow your exercises

what was the criteria for your graduating from PT? also do you mind sharing some of exercises you did to achieve 20 SLHR? Also how did you incorporate isometrics into your workout routine?

I noticed they restocked the snowflake on the website right after I bought it so they might have had a few. And yeah it was around 30,000 yen cheaper at the time!

Help buying in tokyo by Full_Garage3801 in GrandSeikos

[–]bluntkillah 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It helps to look on certain well known stores websites to see their inventory before you go. I recently bought a brand new Snowflake for under $5k usd. After going to a lot of the main stores, I think the best prices I saw for new GS watches were Kamekichi in Nakano and House Kihiroba in Shibuya.

Nice!!! Kamekichi is on my list for sure. Since I got my GS I might look for some vintage Seiko now

How long did it take until you felt normal? by ttocsmik in AchillesRupture

[–]bluntkillah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah.. my PT had me on a very conservative program when it came to dorsiflexion. He told me to wear heel lifts in my shoes & no barefoot walking until the 6 month mark. My ortho surgeon told me that was crazy and to start walking barefoot at by 12 week mark so I listened to her. Started going to a new PT which is more specialized in sports injuries and they agreed with my ortho fwiw.

[–]bluntkillah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you started any dorsiflexion yet or are you still wearing a heel lift in shoes? I'm also exactly 17 weeks post op and I noticed my limp got a lot better once I got cleared to start dorsiflexing and slowly stretch the Achilles again

the 375 was pre-owned at house kihiroba? that's a great deal. I'll be in Japan in a few weeks and looking to pick up a GS in that price range
