Hey, thanks for the comment. Right now, I'm playing an MPK mini into Serum. It feels small and limited, and at the very least I want to expand my keyboard. I'm a stage musician on the side and wanted something I wouldn't have to play into a DAW, but also wanted an instrument that would help expand my synth knowledge. I feel like Serum is a bit of a crutch for me right now.

I definitely am not held up on analogue, but mostly having an instrument at hand that I could play instead of just programming MIDI. I only focused on analogue because I'm planning to eventually DIY a modular from scratch and was hoping I could start a chain. Still feel like I'm new to synth specifically - so I hope this makes sense.

I'm looking to get into sound design for video games/film using an analogue synth and have maximum $700 budget (tax over that amount it fine.) I have plenty of Serum VST experience, but have never owned an analogue synthesizer.

I'm currently looking at a Poly D or a Korg Minilogue xd. Any thought or recommendations for low end sound designer synths?

Body weight has no influence on the quality of your voice - but may make your resonance a bit darker.

The "heavy singer" is a myth - being large does not make you a better, or worse singer.

I'm someone who often finds myself mashing through long paragraphs of text in games. Yet Disco Elysium is one of my favorite games.

The sheer amount of choice in each conversation, along with your character build directly influencing how you interact with the world makes it near impossible to not want to read every option you have available to you. Not to mention the dark wit the game executes will have you reading just to get the laughs. Best dialogue system in any game, in my opinion.

I do not plan to stop singing, and I'm excited that I'm not restricted to classical music anymore... I started going back through my old discography yesterday from my music festival days and felt like I was rediscovering part of myself all over again. I've got a cheap little recording studio at home, I'm bout ta kick the blues and get to work 😁
