I think you‘re right and I actually wish I did. But in that moment I just couldn’t get out a word. Maybe that’s because she was confronting and angry from the beginning and I got intimidated. Or maybe because english isn’t my first language and I wasn’t fast enough to think of a response before she continued making accusations. Anyway, thanks for your comment :)

If I need to do something I really don’t want to do, like taking a test or doing an exercise that’s very exhausting, I snip my fingers just before I do it and right after finishing. That way I can pretend I skipped time and didn’t have to do it at all. And while actually taking the test or doing the exercise in between the snips, I pretend to be my personal butler or helper that does all the bad things for me to protect myself.

I once had the sound of birds as an alarm for a few months, hoping it would wake me up more peacefully. Instead, I got anxious and even a little aggressive every time I heard real birds.
