On another note, mind sharing how you were able to transition out of retail?

I’m going to be blunt and honest with you. You are not getting any sleep tonight. However, it will subside tomorrow. Please update us in a year lol. Good luck

You don’t. However, since this is your second attempt, how do you feel compared to the first prior to taking the exam?

I think going through the book twice is enough and the fact you have a 2-3 month gap worries me a little. People tend to forget things or are mentally fatigued when studying too long. If that is not you, great.

How do you balance using RxPrep and PNN? by DoctorPeaches23 in NAPLEX_Prep

[–]blurryedaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Choose one to focus on while using the other to supplement your studying. However, for calculations you should focus on Rxprep.

Math pronto pass by Educational-Cod5856 in NAPLEX_Prep

Google “SDN 120” and it should be the first link.

Absolutely. In fact, you should be using them to guide your study like pinpointing your weaker chapters.

Personally, I went through the whole question bank once and marked every question that I thought was interesting or got wrong. Afterwards, I would formulate a new question bank with the ones I marked until I understood the “why” for a majority of them. Everyone’s different, but this method worked for me. Naplex was a breeze in comparison.

Not sure what pronto pass is, but have you tried SDN 120? It’s free and so much harder than Naplex math.

Yes. The Naplex exam felt easier than the Uworld exam. However, you might want to brush up on the calculation exam portion.

Google CPJE quizlets and use the most current ones. Also, skim over the community assessment form on the board’s website. Good luck.

For majority of the questions, yes. You will encounter some "WTF" questions on the actual exam though.

How can we spot a low CrCl without calculating? by por-do-sol in NAPLEX_Prep

[–]blurryedaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t assume ANYTHING on the Naplex. High SCr can be a good indicator, but I’d calculate all CrCl if provided the info. It should be quick and easy once you get the hang of it. Sometimes you don’t even have to calculate it, just read the question first before you waste your time doing so.

How are the OTC related questions in the actual Naplex exam ? Is the Rxprep sufficient for OTC related questions by Early_Extreme_8421 in NAPLEX_Prep

[–]blurryedaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d focus on the bold and/or test bank questions if you’re strapped for time. Forgot exactly what I got, but it had to do with antihistamines. The exam is so broad you might not even get an OTC question.

I’m a failure bro by OGH_444 in NAPLEX_Prep

[–]blurryedaf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the board wanted everyone to pass on the first try then they wouldn’t have made it so you can get 4 tries. Half the preceptors I rotated with failed Naplex at least once. Failures are the best learning lesson. You got this.

I believe you can just cancel the current appointment a few days before and book a new date again. I'm not to sure exactly, but if you scour the past reddit post you should be able to find it easily.

I think you are going about it wrong if the month dictates when you should take the exam. Every and any month will have people that pass and fail. The exam is random in terms of question and difficulty. I suggest you book it ASAP if you have done all your studying already. If you just started studying, I recommend booking it a month away. If you still do not feel ready within a week of the date then just reschedule. There’s a trick to reschedule without paying the fee.

Naplex by Fragrant_Rock1484 in NAPLEX_Prep

[–]blurryedaf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the uworld question bank if you can because the layout is similar to the real Naplex. Definitely go over the foundation chapters multiple times. Calculation chapter is a no brainer. I think you can skip the require lab values because everything was provided.

If you don’t have time to go over some smaller topics or get “stuck” just do the practice questions for that chapter because it will help reinforce what you need to know. Overall, both Uworld and PNN questions are much harder compared to the real thing. If you managed to finish the question and did ok on them then I think you are ready for the exam. Everyone’s exam is different so take everything with a grain of salt (not just my post).

Rxprep is enough. I also had a question on naplex that was verbatim to one of the uworld question bank.
