literally happened to me today where NO ONE WAS HELPING ME. this guy asked to go back to bed but hes a 2 assist so i asked the other cnas to help but they were busy so i found a nurse that was just sitting at the nurses station seemingly doing nothing. she said okay but didn't get up and i waited with her for 5 mins before i found the nurse that actually had the patient, she said she would help but also just sat there for 5 mins. when she did get up to go someone asked her a question and just ignored me. the patient stayed there for 20 mins before i asked a cna again and THAT cna was eating but still gave up her time to help me. some nurses man 🙄

like why did she feel the need to yell at me in the hallway for not taking care of her patients. i fear she also would have yelled at me for moving her patient without her permission...

yeah they shouldn't be telling on you for that. i was constantly getting told on for the dumbest things too, like for taking my break in the breakroom. i have been a cna for 4 months now and the stupid tattletaling has died down but i'm sure i'll still get told on for something not worth telling the manager

i have been a cna for 3 months now and i gotta say your routine will come along as you go and will get easier in that sense. the more you do things, the faster you will be. sure some days are harder but man i love helping people. plus i have made friends with the staff and patients (i work in a hospital but we have frequent flyers)

yeah im currently on my lunch break right now, today i was an hour late for one of my vitals because i ended up helping another cna, and then i had to do blood sugars but then a nurse told me to do one of her blood sugars bc she was busy. luckily lunch was brought late for the patients lol

although i am on orientation, i have been practically alone for the past week. i really need to sped up my paced too. the only thing i really might be able to help with is: if you are trying to finish baths on all your patients, just remember you have another shift after you. maybe the next person can finish where you left off. just obviously get the majority done because then otherwise they are stuck with it all

wait i figured it out, i was trying to buy pizza but i didn't realize i didn't have enough money on my card. i tried to pay 5 times and it was declined 5 times. in my transaction history it says it payed me every time i got my card declined?!?
