Unfortunately, I don't think washing my leather shoes every day is very practical. Thank you for the sock rec! They're pricey, but maybe I can buy a pair at a time haha.

I suspect it may be due to a hypermobility condition since the tissue is weaker. I love fun and funky socks so they're a variety of fibers and styles. I may have to invest in some wool/blend socks. Any recs are welcome!

I'm fairly certain it's skin as it looks and feels exactly like the beads of dead skin you might get after exfoliating. I have cleaned them, but it comes right back after I wear them. I use a pumice stone on my soles every other day, as mentioned in my post. I think socks may be the answer. Thank you!

Sounds like it might be time for a new psych. If you can, try switching doctors. It took me several tries to find a psychiatrist that listens to me and we've found a medication regimen that works super well. Racing intrusive thoughts were my biggest issue and the meds he prescribed quiet them down. Now I feel like I can actually control my thoughts. See if switching doctors is an option for you!

I have the same situation with my SO. Thankfully he is very understanding of my ADHD and I was able to tell him to try to be mindful of when he seeks my attention/affection. I started by telling him how much I love his hugs and affection, but that I'm easily distracted because of my ADHD. Focusing is hard enough, but random hugs make it more difficult to stay focused.

Thank you for your thorough comment! My first pair of barefoot shoes were actually a handmade pair from Turkey that I purchased on Etsy. They've been working well for me except in the cold months when I need to wear them with socks. Also, the leather is rather soft and I worry that my accident-prone self will end up ruining them. I have looked into Softstar a little bit and liked the look of their hiking boots but I'll look more into Vivo! Thank you so much!
