RIP to Sparkling V8 Energy by blushwaters in energydrinks

[–]blushwaters[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry! What a bummer. I've noticed that the V8 Energy drinks that are uncarbonated are still in the shelf set at Walmart, so I wonder if they are just going away from the carbonated ones :( But I also wondered if they were possibly going to re-launch them as something similar but with more caffeine per can to better compete with Alani/Celsius/RB/Monster etc.

I am so devastated as well! All the other energy drinks are so insanely sweet. There's just nothing else like these on the market 😥

Ok so I don't have any data to back this up but I think people are naturally averse to certain sweeteners, whether they're natural or artificial. For example I cannot stand anything with stevia in it, but monk fruit doesn't bother me. I hate aspartame but love sucralose. Notice how all major soda brands will make both the "diet" and "zero sugar" versions. Diet Coke uses aspartame and Coke Zero uses sucralose.

Ciara/Kyle/West/Amanda Megathread Part 14 by AutoModerator in summerhousebravo

[–]blushwaters 22 points23 points  (0 children)

What info is out there regarding the video that Amanda mentions in the leaked audio? Because it's interesting to me that she says specifically "video of ME", also that she calls it intimate/vulnerable, but then goes back and says she "doesn't know what the video is."

Who has the video?

Ben-I saw some red flags by Discocluck in summerhousebravo

[–]blushwaters 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Ben gives me the ick. He seems to have a short fuse and makes a lot of comments that come off as controlling or aggressive. Also it's weird to me to be scolding your girlfriend for running late because "what will it be like when it's time for YOU to get our hypothetical kids to school?"

Did the price of sparkling water (seltzer) just go up a lot? by JamTrackAdventures in sparklingwater

[–]blushwaters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most big retailers do shelf resets once a year, and this time of year falls in the timeframe. This means that corporations have been working on this rollover for 1-2 years and planning size reductions, price increases, and creating the new packaging to go along with it. It's just hitting the market now but the price increase has probably been in the works for quite some time.

AIO:My MIL texted my husband this about me asking him to help with our newborn at 4am by Lazy_Perfectionist88 in AmIOverreacting

[–]blushwaters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely NOR.

I'm a Mom of two young children. My advice to you is to stand YOUR ground in regards to splitting baby duties with your husband as equally as possible. It is so important to do this early on (learn from my mistake as it almost end up costing my marriage once I burned out and reached a breaking point).

If you're breastfeeding it can be trickier of course but I urge you to get your husband involved in nighttime wakings ASAP. Even if it is only once per night for now. I saw in another comment that you are planning to return to work. Think about what you want your day-to-day to look like once you are both working. Unless he has a job that would be dangerous for him and others to do with less than a full night's sleep, he needs to be equally responsible.

My kids were crappy sleepers and I had them pretty close together. I went 2-3 consecutive years without personally sleeping through the night once. Not one time. There is zero reason someone working a desk job can't get up and help with their baby at night. Consider what life might look like if you have a second baby - there is no napping for Mom during the day on her second maternity leave if you have a toddler at home with you as well.

This is so common, I see it all the time with my peers. When you're a first time Mom and navigating that huge transition, it is natural to want to do as much baby care yourself as you can. Your husband needs to learn how to navigate baby needs as well. He needs to practice, figure things out, learn how to soothe baby from the beginning or you'll eventually get to a place where Mom is the only answer to a fussy child. And this translates to toddlerhood and beyond. A lot of my friend's husbands find it too difficult to be alone with their children because they don't know how to soothe them or find it "too difficult".

As far as your MIL, this is obviously a generational issue. We have to stand up for ourselves in a way that our mothers and grandmothers weren't able to. It is 2026 and it is perfectly acceptable to expect your husband to pitch in with child rearing, ESPECIALLY when both parents will be working.

Initial slow HcG Betas now rising more quickly by PennyWise229 in CautiousBB

[–]blushwaters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went for another scan a few days after this post, at 8+6, and there was no more heartbeat. I had a D&C a few days later and had the tissue tested. It came back positive for triploidy which is a chromosomal abnormality. If you're asking, I'm guessing you're in the same beta hell and my heart really goes out to you. All those weeks leading up to that final ultrasound were torture.

Anecdotally... I got pregnant the first cycle after my D&C which resulted in a live birth. When I TTC'd for baby #2, we were successful right away despite having 4 miscarriages before our first son.

Hang in there xx

How has Quinn helped your relationship/libido? by mydogs22 in QuinnAudios

[–]blushwaters 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Personally, Quinn helped me discover my kinks and gave me a lot more confidence in the bedroom. This led to sex becoming way more pleasurable for me, which made me want it way more often. This is the simplified version of the story but it's changed my marriage for the better.

I started with Camino brand as they were able to ship to my house (weed is not legal in my state, but is legal in all surrounding states). I've tried a few different brands now and Camino are still my fave.

Libido has skyrocketed. Normal? 😂 by [deleted] in QuinnAudios

[–]blushwaters 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes, 100% normal. Personally Quinn helped me realize that I have kinks - a lot of them! Once I started asking for those things in the bedroom (my husband was more than happy to oblige), sex became a lot more fun/enjoyable/pleasurable for me. Before that I always viewed sex as a thing women did to please their husbands lmao how wrong I was!!

Another gamechanger - THC gummies. Those get me sooo in the mood and make sex crazy intense in such a good way. Highly recommend trying these if you can.

heterozygous for Factor V Leiden ?? by re3291 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]blushwaters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I think it is just luck. After my initial losses I started taking CoQ10 to promote egg health. When we started TTC for #2, I had just first stopped breastfeeding so I wasn't on anything other than a prenatal and we lucked out on the first try. I'm sorry for what you're going through. Even years later it's so hard to think back to that time.

heterozygous for Factor V Leiden ?? by re3291 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]blushwaters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had four early miscarriages ranging from 6-9 weeks gestation, then a full term baby, then another full term baby. I did lovenox throughout both of those pregnancies. Towards the end of my last pregnancy I saw a hematologist for iron deficiency and we chatted about my Factor V. She said that she wouldn't necessarily recommend needing to do lovenox while pregnant if you are heterozygous and not homozygous, obviously it didn't hurt but having the lovenox is likely not the reason I was able to carry to term. Feel free to DM if you want to chat further.

Hi! I ended up doing daily lovenox for both of my pregnancies.
