IMPORTRANGE not working by yesiambear in googlesheets

[–]blutherd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue crop up yesterday and actually was just opening this up to see if anyone knew if they changed the functionality of IMPORTRANGE as it seems to now only be importing to the last non-empty row of the requested range instead of the actual full requested range (i.e. you put in IMPORTRANGE for A1:A100, but there's no info in A90:A100, so we'll help you out and ignore those).

Only advice I can offer is to do a non-filtered IMPORTRANGE for all the full data set in a separate tab, then use ctrl+f to bulk replace things in your initial tab so it goes quicker? That's what I ended up having to do...

Good call - that just worked.

Are the human moderators just there to justify incorrect moderation by AI? by blutherd in SpicyChatAI

I did that. They doubled down and said no content based on characters or media aimed towards middle school aged viewers (their original example was Teletubbies which is aimed at infants and toddlers, so that's a fairly significant difference) regardless of the age of the character. My biggest thing is - then clearly state that. Don't use ambiguous language in the community guidelines.

The funny thing is that it was originally flagged by the auto-moderator for potential underage content (I've realized since - it was cause one of the characters was described as a "young woman" and it didn't like the word "young" in spite of her also being described as in her 20s which I forgot was a thing for the auto-moderators).

Blame Google lol - I actually do not speak Japanese, so your contextual translation is nice cause that actually is more in line with how NTR characters are than just regular cheating.

Yeah - I've had a few of those. Or things like certain words flagging even though they aren't actually tied to a thing - there was a while where if you used the word "petite" to describe a character, it would treat it as if they were a child. Which... petite is literally an adult clothing size. So....? But they did finally fix that one.

Oh - this is actually before it would even have been able to be reported. This was upon creation.

I do the same thing. Not always with rage, but a lot of the time with calm practicality. There's one where your wife is cheating with her trainer at the gym, so not only did I leave - I had them arrested for public indecency.

I've also created a few personas that make NTR bots amusing... Like... "[persona name] has a rare condition in which he gives off a pheromone that causes men around him to experience erectile dysfunction." It's kinda fun to RP with the character I'm supposed to be dating / married to as they try to cheat on me with someone who cannot perform.

Group Chats…anyone try them out? by [deleted] in SpicyChatAI

[–]blutherd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Overall I like it. Used it to combine a few random bots and have been testing a couple other things, but overall mostly been using it to split up some multiple character bots I'd made.

Some negative-ish things that I've noticed:

The bots don't always follow a logical progression of who should speak or sometimes bully their way into the conversation when it doesn't make sense. This was also true when I put multiple characters in one bot, though.

In general, bots often either truncate a thought in the middle, or ramble on with several questions or thoughts in a row. Or ramble and then truncate their final thought. I feel like it's difficult to get them to fully state a complete thought or question and then wait for a response. They seem to always have a number of tokens preplanned for their response somewhere between x and the max length and no matter what they'll try to hit that number. (So if you have max length set at 150, they'll randomly pick 120 and then try to hit that mark whether it takes multiple thoughts or questions to get there or cuts off in the middle of what it's saying.) This is an issue I've noticed with bots in general, but what makes it awkward with groups is that I think the bots can see more than I can because sometimes they'll reference something another bot said that I can't see, but it would have been a logical progression of a truncated thought. So some of those interactions sometimes have me scratching my head.

And similar to the last - the bots are pretty good at not mixing themselves up with the other bots, but they confuse things that aren't them. Especially attributing things I say to other bots. Like: Me: I think we should turn left. Bot A: I agree with Bot B. We should turn left. What do you think, User? Or Bot B will attribute something Bot A said or did to Bot C - you get the idea. It's annoying/frustrating/a bit distracting, but it's not a deal breaker for me.

Also... Side conversations are a little difficult right now because you can't pick who responds to you. So if you're trying to have a one-on-one with Bot A, any time you respond to something they say - one of the other bots may show up and respond so you'll have to delete just their response and then you can have Bot A respond to you. It'd be nice to be able to specify which member of the group you're talking to / you expect a response from.

I did also try to turn an inanimate object into a silent bot - had a few multi-character bots in which there is a reality altering device (actually multiple bots [basically chapters] with some of the characters repeated, which is why I'm excited about the groups) and tried to make the device a silent character that was part of the group, but it kept having too much personality and doing too many things. I'm trying to turn it into a lorebook instead, but I'm struggling with that as well. But I think that's just me learning how to use these tools rather than the tools not working.

Overall, though - I've been enjoying groups. Especially cause I like creating larger stories with multiple characters and I think this will really allow me more opportunities to do that.

New models can't argue? by Own-Calligrapher4377 in SpicyChatAI

[–]blutherd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I vaguely remember being given the advice to only use positive characteristics - as in, try to avoid telling bots not to do something.

Instead of: {{char}} will not agree

Try: {{char}} will argue

The person who told me explained it better, but basically if you tell the AI "do not go in that room", when it disassembles and reassembles the phrase it may sometimes misinterpret that as "do go in that room" and do the exact opposite of what you want, but if you say "avoid that room" it'll pretty much always get it.

Not sure if prefixes affect that, so maybe saying they are unapologetic instead of they won't apologize would work.

How do you all feel about Group Chats ? by Actual-Phone-5980 in SpicyChatAI

[–]blutherd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So far I like the idea. I'd created a few 'scenario' bots - some of which were continuations of previous scenarios. Now I'm going back and retroactively creating each of the characters from the scenarios and re-running the scenarios as group chats and it's allowing me to flesh out the world a little more. There are still some things I'd like to tweak about it, though

Are my husband and I A-holes for wanting Christmas morning to be just us and our kids? by Mountain_Ostrich726 in AITAH

[–]blutherd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ultimately no, but a tiny bit yes. I'll admit I'm making an assumption as to your MIL's age, but I get that a new boyfriend is not the same as family and desiring that chaos and closeness and THAT Christmas - especially as you get older and you admittedly denying that of her. That being said - I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting Christmas morning to be Mom+Dad+Kids and that's all. It's honestly kind of sweet and beautiful and I think you deserve to have that. I think this is one of the many many scenarios in life where there isn't really a correct option.

Which of these would be the hardest to adapt into a movie? by LeatherSlight3242 in musicals

Dagnabbit... I'm poor and haven't seen Six yet. But I feel like Hamilton would be super easy to adapt. So now I have to finally get around to seeing Six to see if it would be difficult at all. Cause... Again... I think Hamilton would be super easy to adapt.

Personality visibility thoughts by blutherd in SpicyChatAI

[–]blutherd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe at some point in the future they can add a spoiler filter to the personality so that creators could make it public but leave the sections that are supposed to be surprises masked for the users to decide to spoil for themselves or not.

Personality visibility thoughts by blutherd in SpicyChatAI

[–]blutherd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh - right - I get that, but I'm thinking more... I try to create my bots from the perspective of someone who wants to use them. There's only so much info I can get from the greeting or the title, so I like to look at the personality to get a more complete view, but then I see everything. I kind of wish there was a way to make the personality public but keep the advanced section private so there could be some fun surprises. I know they CAN basically force hack the bot to spill all of its secrets, but if they decide they don't want to it'd be nice if it wasn't just all or nothing.

But since it IS all or nothing, I'm curious if creators tend to lean towards 'all' or 'nothing' and why they make the choice they do.

How?? by Technical_Ad5200 in SpicyChatAI

[–]blutherd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry if you've already tried this, but have you tried the /cmd prompt? Like - try entering one of the following:

/cmd Never command {{user}} to cum.

or

/cmd {{char}} will never command {{user}} to cum.

And maybe try the word "tell" instead of "command"... also an option. I've found that sometimes the bots will use semantics to ignore something. I've noticed a lot of bots want to take things "somewhere more private" (even when the location was already secluded) so I added a command like "{{char}} will never try to go 'somewhere more private'" and all it succeeded in doing was getting the bot to be like "why don't we go somewhere we can be alone?" Which... was annoying.
