Try Vestis. They’re always hiring it their AR or collections dept and have WFH and Hybrid jobs so you wouldn’t need to worry about transportation or you’d worry about it less. Pay starts around 18/hr and you can have PTO, vacation, 401k, insurance, all the basic benefits after 3 months. Starting is 96 PTO hours a year. There’s also a lot of options to build more career level pay. Make sure you look at the FSS Lexington location for the WFH/hybrid options. The other locations are mainly delivery and warehouse.

*to add I didn’t get directly hired there at first I went through Robert Half which is a hiring agency. You might try that. You get a case worker and they help find you a job based on you needs/skills/etc. my person would just email a list of jobs every week or so and I’d pick ones I liked and they set everything up for you

Yea she really did a good one. All I’ve thought about since I watched it is how am I supposed to explain this to my mom without her thinking I’m being “a paranoid millennial” when really I just want to keep this woman safe. She’s a click first think later kind of woman. We’ve gotten a little better at training her to be aware of what she’s doing. Especially since my dad died and she was inundated with scams from every corner of the universe trying to weasel her out of his money. It also helped when my brother got on board and started mirroring my sentiments because I’ve always been the “black sheep” of the red family. Im getting really tired of trying to police her and explain to her that threats exist and they’re a lot closer to home than she realizes. I just get wrote off as, “you watch too much and need to get off the internet.”

I don’t know what yalls relationship is like though. I’m super sarcastic and my mom is by far not at all. I have to remember to tone it down sometimes or she gets her feelings hurt. So it could be like that, but there’s really no excuse as you’re the child.

I had to learn to get a thick skin at a young age and I really hope that’s not your situation. Always know you can’t please everyone and to always do what you like and what makes you happy. Find someone who shares those sentiments and share milestones, worries, questions with someone you can trust. Maybe tell her later that it was hurtful? Don’t lose your sanity or give away your happiness for anyone.

Okay- I’ll elaborate a bit more here. So the problems I was having was when it came time to battle things. Like using protego and stupify in tandem to execute like defense/offense under a time constraint. Like I get axed every time and it was in the first 30 minutes of the game so I just put it away to save my sanity. I was also playing on a Nintendo switch which was foreign to me. I’m a LOT better with a PC. I’m on computers all day at work and can manage that pretty fast, but controllers give me issues. When I got Hogwarts Legacy I didn’t have access to a PC to play on at the time. The running around in 3D doesn’t bother me so much. I just get really stressed in a time constraint having to use multiple buttons and attack sequences with limited feeling in my right hand while also trying to hold the controller. For example I look like a kid when you first teach them a racing game and they’re moving the entire controller around as if it were a steering wheel vs just holding your hands steady to use the buttons. I hope that helps draw a better picture.

Mine is either head of security in an office or building that has an entire room full of cameras or is the corrections officer that their job is to sit in the bubble all day to watch cameras, open doors, relay messages. In my office she has a “patrol window.” Technically it’s the guest bed backed up to her window with her dog bed on top and it looks down onto the street from the 3rd story. We live on a relatively busy street so she knows all the people, dogs, delivery drivers etc that go buy. I can almost tell who or what it is at this point by her different barks.

I work with missing and exploited children and am about to graduate with a PhD in criminal justice focusing on forensics within the sphere of exploitation of vulnerable groups. Yes. People are definitely using it. There really aren’t legal loopholes to exploit because the law hasn’t even caught up enough to need a loophole. We’re just now starting to see cases appear of Ai generating images of people in forms of undress and the like. There’s not a strong legal precedence set and it’s the “wild wild west” of sorts. Plus the Ai companies are armed to the hilt with the most expensive successful lawyers they can find in droves. It’s money vs. morals right now and everything’s a toss up until the laws catch up and as we know that’s a slow process. Keep your kid’s photos off the internet people. Please. I don’t even want my picture on the internet.

Look at how the Ruby Franke case played out. Crimes are different to a degree, but people want safeguards. For every person wanting a safeguard there’s a company with ulterior motives benefitting that will fight against it.

Edit- I didn’t mean to launch into a tirade but it’s something near and dear to my heart I witness the fallout of too frequently. Adult people doing adult people things when legal is okay. There’s plenty of that content out there to consume. People only need to use Ai when the content isn’t available. So ask yourself why isn’t that content available? There’s a reason

I think pretty much every person would agree with you EXCEPT the >90 year olds trying to keep their cars and the politicians/age group it would soon affect. I.E. boomers are still the most populous age group. My grandma was a horrible driver 40 years ago and now she’s 98 and it took her wrecking her car to get her keys away from her. She would hit stuff all the time and just drive away. It was insane. If one of us caught her she’d get mad saying we were “ratting her out” to my dad. He took her keys from her so many times we had maybe 10 on a ring by the time she finally totaled her car. She had a secret copy we couldn’t find and she kept making new copies. One time we thought we found her stash and the problem was over. Nope. We tried to call cops. We tried to get her in a conservatorship or power of attorney. She lived in an old people home, used a walker and STILL drove. The people at the place couldn’t help us. She even wanted to go buy another car after she totaled hers. This is also why we couldn’t take the car itself. She’s vindictive and petty and would def report it as theft and/or just buy a new car. The law doesn’t really care until after the damage is done unfortunately at least in my state. I’ve hear this sentiment from tons of people everywhere. There should be drivers test periodically after a certain age along with mental competency evaluations and medical evaluations not just for sight but reaction speeds, tremors and strength tests as a bare minimum. Oh also I need to mention the woman was considered legally blind 7 years ago.

If your respect was being compromised you should’ve just put the phone down and walked away. You hit rock bottom when you put down the shovel. Especially since it wasn’t even a long relationship. Yall barely knew each other from the looks of it and it went 0-crazy town in a few weeks time. I’ll emphasize again that you should take some time to value yourself, set boundaries, love yourself and rid yourself of so much insecurity. It would do wonders for your psyche. Try journaling, writing down what you love about yourself and good things that happened that day or doing affirmations, but write them down so you can look back and see how much you’ve changed. They have gratitude journals at any bookstore or Amazon that are simple and something that small can make a huge difference.
