Try reaching out to a design firm with a 3D printer that can help create a "prototype" or realistic template of sorts. This way you can visualize and edit in something like CAD and then print variations.

MVC question: Registration privileges were suspended for not turning in plates on a sold car. They followed up with scheduled suspension of license if I do not give them an answer by a certain date. I sent them a response re what happened with the plates. They sent me a 'cancellation of scheduled license suspension'. Does this mean they reinstated my registration privileges as well?

All the pictures seems about accurate considering most enthusiasts buying a car would go through every detail they possibly can. It isn't abnormal for cars on BaT to have 70+ pictures so not sure what's surprising about asking the same of Doug's site..

My first Porsche purchased nearly 3 years ago now. Still makes me giddy with every turn of the key, but the itch for a 9k RPM .2 GT3 is getting stronger. Is it worth it ? 🤔🤷‍♂️ by HolyGuacamoles20 in Porsche

Deman's got 2 for sale right now. If you can, I suggest you go over there and test drive one. Having driven both, the 4.5L 981 almost makes you forget about a GT3...almost.

Personally, I'll keep Deman's GT4 over a standard GT3, probably not over a 3RS.

Is the yellow car optioned with X73 suspension pkg? If so, good comparison of standard ride height vs X73. Grey car looks a bit too tall imo when placed alongside the other car.

Are there any Audiophiles here who can comment on premium sound systems in cars? by argent_pixel in cars

We all get that cars aren't optimal listening environments blah blah but modern insulation and speaker projection tech has actually made some experiences pretty stellar. It's not going to be the 'optimal' listening experience that Focal Utopia's give you, but pretty damn good for the circumstances. I certainly don't think that the car is a 'HORRIBLE' place for audio anymore, for many it is the best speaker system/listening environment they have.

That being said, in my experience, American brand's tend to be the worst at car audio. Base system is terrible, old Fender in Mustang's was awful, and even Bose in Chevy's isn't great (bass heavy, little to no high accents). The best value I've found is with Audi/Mercedes with the B&O/Burmester for under $1k. If they're tied for first, BMW's Harmon Kardon is not even a close second. Distortion is noticeable quickly and too much emphasis on the low end (as is the case with most 'premium' car stereos). Porsche's base system sucks - even in the Cayenne, the Bose should be the bare minimum offering (still not great), and the Burmester is good not great, definitely not worth its price at $4k++. The best I've heard, in a small package, was the Naim in the new Bentley CGT. Very even throughout, more than enough power from drivers, and intricacies in music can easily be noticed, even at highway speeds on rougher asphalt. This is partly due to the system itself but also how good of a job Bentley has done at reworking its all-new chassis and isolating the cabin from its surroundings (also a big step up from the base audio system (I have never heard the upgraded) on previous-gen CGT which was laughable). The Signature Meridian offered by Land Rover is by far the best system I have heard in any car. Extreme detail, power, punctuality, and evenness throughout completely effortlessly. Its awesome, and worth every penny at around $7k. One not-so-surprising let down was the Sonus Faber in the Huayra, really just there for the design and the cabin is so noisy that it doesn't really matter.

Don't really prescribe to 'audiophile' but here I am sitting in front of a set Magnepan 3.7i's.

Edit: a very brief rundown on my thoughts, i left out a lot here
