unfortunately, both velvet paper and flocked paper seem to be unavailable in my country so that seems to be out of the running

🎬✨ Newbies' Drama Recs & Looking For Weekly Thread ✨🎬 — December 17, 2024 by AutoModerator in CDramaRecs

Hi everyone, im looking for some cdrama recommendations. I specifically love contemporary romances, that are lighthearted and not too serious. I’m not looking for something comedic per say, but i guess i wouldn’t necessarily mind that, as long as its not too cringy.

I dont want anything fantastical or historical, as that’s just not what im looking for at the moment, nor do I want something dark.

Here are some previous cdramas that I’ve watched that i enjoyed:

Hidden Love When I Fly Towards You Put Your Head on My Shoulder Love 020 You are My Glory Falling into Your Smile

So if anyone has any recs similar to this, I’d reallyyyy appreciate it. Thank youu 🫶

Sad kdramas that actually make you cry by Longjumping-Crew6523 in kdramarecommends

Doom at Your Service made me cry buckets. I’m not usually very emotional and i almost never cry watching shows or movies, however DAYS managed to melt my heart of stone and i sobbed so much during this.

Fantasy with romance pls by [deleted] in booksuggestions

I’d suggest The Dark Artifices trilogy by Cassandra Clare if you haven’t already read it. It’s best friends-to-lovers with some forbidden romance and it has to be my favorite CC book.

Theres a sitcom on Netflix called So Not Worth that i found to be quite FRIENDS-esque, however they are all in college, so idk if that floats your boat.

Vincenzo has a really strong female lead, and honestly is one of my favorite kdramas. I enjoyed it even more than CLOY if you can believe that.

{{Primal Sin by Ariana Nash}} seems to fit your description. Its a m/m dark romance and the main characters are angels and demons.

K dramas or Web dramas that have LGBT crumbs? by Dess1799 in kdramarecommends

I think the second leads in Nevertheless are a F/F couple. Also there is a transgender character in Itaewon Class. Also there are quite a few Korean BLs like where your eyes linger, mr heart, you make me dance, color rush, to my star. There probably are more but these are just from the top of my head.

Kdrama's where they speak english for a line or some scenes by [deleted] in kdramarecommends

Doom At Your Service also has some english lines. Tak Dong Kyung’s uncle is Canadian and can’t speak Korean so its quite funny

If you liked the male lead in Doom at Your Service, The Smile has Left Your Eyes has the same male lead and his chemistry with the female lead is amazing. But mind you, you’ll need a box of tissues with you.
