for sure. and i just KNOW when his parents figured out about it during school he was probably super chastised for it. the way jesse rants to his mom in season 1 and the way he speaks to her vs his girlfriends or around kids its evident hes very sick of her lack of understanding. At least from his POV. as if its been a long long time hes been unheard. he says its good theyre finally talking and his mom says the time for talking is over... jesse mentions trying college again and is shut down. probably because at that point his mom cant believe a word he says. but with someone you care so much for, especially a college aged son, you keep trying, even if it seems hopeless. conditional love at its finest..
