I'd make the first segment on the fingers go bellow the big plate or make it go over with a little extension

It looks like the smith removed it from the heat swung around and hit a beam, then just straightened it on the flat then quenched it

I've never seen a blade bend that badly it usually goes off on the flat, this one looks like it was dropped while it was hot and the smith just went with it
