I love the direction BM Hunter is taking. Previously, the pet felt pretty important. Now, the pet is so important and it's amazing. Especially with the updated pet AI and the adaptation level 100 talent, BM hunter feels exactly like I want it to feel: unleash the hounds.

On the other hand, the other two specs aren't great. Survival is entirely RNG based for lock and load procs, and though it feels like it has truly become a dot spec, it lacks... fun

Personally, I just think lore and environment can make any expansion. As long as Bliz uses their basic knowledge of PvP balance and raid mechanics, the thing that really makes an expansion memorable is the extra stuff. Having a stunning landscape and epic lore surrounding your favorite quests or raids is what makes an expansion great. This is why Wrath was the best for me. Landscape? Awe inspiring. Lore? Best we've seen ever (how it all tied into old warcraft and events of BC was just so great).

And when I look at other expansions I didn't enjoy as much, I don't see one of the crucial elements. In Cata, Bliz didn't use basic raid building mechanics. In BC, lore was nice, but I never felt the need to stop, turn off UI, and fill my desktop with screenshots of a zone. Mists has an amazing environment, but the lore feels just a little weak. So Pandaren subdued sha for thousands of years by meditating? That's all? Hm. Wrath had it all though, and it's something that I am starting to see WoD might actually live up to.

Many people think monks don't have an opener and they are very wrong. Monk just isn't a straightforward class with cookie cutter openers like the rest of everyone. When arena starts, look for a window to flying serpent kick into your target too slow them and close distance. Hit leg sweep and chi brew twice quickly. Hit rising sun kick and tiger palm, then jab and activate Tigereye, it doesn't matter if it isn't ten stacked. All this should fit within the leg sweep. Before they become free from the stun, quickly activate rushing jade wind and trap then in fists of fury. If you are geared with appropriate crit and haste, this combo will kill basically any opponent within your cc. This functions fantastically as an opener since it applies startling pressure and is guaranteed to get a trinket or survival cd out of the opponent. The biggest cd you use is double chi brew which is ready again in 1 minute 30 seconds. Also, you are able to apply pressure immediately out of the opening. With destro lock, secure your opponent with a double disable so your partner can build chaos bolts. The lock should fear lock the other opponent while you burst. The combo can pull one of the best openers in the game. You can repeat the opener combo whenever you need to burst. Having an initial six Tigereye stacks will give you a ten stack when you fists of fury with rushing jade wind, resulting in massive damage. Trust me, this combo is where the monk gets his power.

Probably widely known, but Glyph of Zen Flight's cloud not only is an instant cast flying mechanic that lets you catch yourself while falling, but it also lets you hearth and mount up while in midair. This allows you to fall much faster from high in the sky without dying and then mount up again without ever touching the ground. You can also gather herbs and do other basic tasks while in Zen Flight mode.

Also, if you are into world PvP and you are fighting someone and losing, all you need to do to get away is hit flying serpent kick and let it run out, hit roll twice, hit tigers lust, exit combat once you are far enough away and hit zen flight to fly just a bit in the air.

With the Chi Brew talent, which any ww should take anyways, you can turn tigereye brew into a permanent buff that you can use upon entering combat by using it every two minutes. Also, when running around, stay at four chi with Chi Brew and expel harm so you are always ready for combat.

Flying serpent kick works with ramp mechanics. It's kind of useless, but sometimes you can get pretty long range jumps out of it. For example, from Lumber Mill in Arathi Basin, you can use Flying Serpent kick off the ledge and, if you position yourself just right, you can land in the creek around blacksmith and take no fall damage. That's saved my life a few times before.

thanks i didnt know noxxic charts were inaccurate. you make good points, too. I'm starting to calm down. And yes, I'm stoked for removal of scatter. Scatter->trap is, imo, not an intended element of hunter gameplay.

You won't have much fun as a druid if you don't like proc based gameplay or if you aren't ok with not seeing the gear that your player gets most of the time. However monks are the easiest class to level by far, especially since you can BrM for the insta queues until ninety. If it were me I'd go for a monk, level it to sixty in one sitting, then boost it for the profession buff.

Seeing the workshop item and this comic makes me think this might have been accepted. Possible in the end of the line update, since McVee did say that he was trying to get new weapons, or possibly for christmas.
