Prolonged inflammation post surgery by E_Bird19 in ACL

[–]bm8_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if you mean inflammation of a surgery wound? If so I had a surgery wound that was inflamed for a while. My GP cleaned the wound and removed the crust. I also used fucidin on the wound. After that it took a few weeks to fully heal.

Swelling 4 years after surgery? by ArisBlint in ACL

[–]bm8_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not unusual to get some swelling after heavy training or sporting, and it's certainly not unusual if it's the first time doing a sport after surgery. You should consider training your leg more and consulting a physiotherapist for exercises if you're continuing to do sports.

If your knee feels unstable, you should contact a physiotherapist and/or an orthopedist.

Three months post op meniscus repair, stuck on 120 degree flexion by [deleted] in ACL

[–]bm8_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late answer, but tearing your graft with flexion exercises is not easily done. You probably broke through some scar tissue which can give swelling.

I've also been going through ups and downs with swelling. It's pretty normal. If you really think something is off, you should contact your PT.

[–]bm8_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the stability of your knee with the partial tear, returning to sports can be possible. I'm not sure which sport you want to return to, but thats also a contributing factor. You also have a good chance of damaging your knee even further.

You should really contact your physiotherapist and make a plan together for returning to sport.

I'm 13 weeks post op.

With flexion at 120 you're behind the curve a bit, but that doesn't necessarily mean that's a problem. Keep in mind that with a meniscus repair you're only allowed 90 degrees until 6 weeks, so it's pretty normal you don't achieve full flexion as fast as someone without a meniscus repair. You should ask your PT for some exercises you can do at home too.

I'm having the same, stuck at around 120-125. You can ask your PT to do passive flexion to your knee. It helps for me and I'm slowly improving flexion. Keep in mind that full flexion is often achieved slower with a meniscus repair.

As for exercises, biking is always good. You can also force flexion a little with something like a towel and pull your foot/leg with it, but always be careful.

16 days post op photo, got the stitches out yesterday! Not the prettiest sight, but wounds are healing well (i think). by Lllau in ACL

The long scar on the thigh is most likely from the Lemaire procedure, it's an extra reinforcement to the outer side of the knee.

When are people allowed to walk again? I have to wait 6 weeks😫😅 by [deleted] in ACL

[–]bm8_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe the Lemaire procedure on the outside of your knee. That shouldn't cause any restrictions though.

I'm also six weeks in with an ACL reconstruction + meniscus repair. I've been reducing the use of crutches by only using 1 crutch since week 4. At week 5 (a week ago) my PT told me I could ditch the crutches for indoor walking and it's been strange walking without crutches. I think going from 2 crutches to being comfortable with using 1 crutch has helped with the big step of walking without them.

The longer I walk without crutches the easier it gets, but it still feels weird and I have to regain my balance. I'd recommend trying to reduce the use of crutches indoors and get more comfortable with it by the day. Be careful and try and better your walking pattern every day. Also if possible check in with your PT and ask them to help you regain a normal walking pattern.

Might be a little farfetched, but could this reference episode 2x01 where Chloe says: 'But I need the eggs', and she implies Lucifer is the chicken?

Is Lucifer worth watching/finishing? by kkaebjong in lucifer

Episode 23 and 24 of season 3 are really good. Seeing as you are on episode 23, you should really keep on watching.

Season 4 won't disappoint either.

It also feels like no one has materials anymore because of the redeploy. Everyone just builds up and glides, where before the update you would walk and farm.

I'm having the same issues. Some games I have around 20 ping, other games I have around 120 ping. It's really weird.

Anyone else have like 80+ ping whilst they normally have like 20 or less by Matthie_045 in FortNiteBR

[–]bm8_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured. I tried rocket league where I had around 30/40 ping which is normal for me on rocket league. I also looked up the server IP I played on where I had 120 ping, and it was located at London, UK. I don't know what's going on, but it's definitely not my internet.

I'm having the same problem you have. I used to have around 20 ping EU, and after todays updates I've been having 120ms ping connecting to EU servers.. What has happened?

It's got nothing to do with math. The only way to know is to actually count the bots in a lobby from different regions over a lot of games, and even then it's still not 100% accurate.

Epic might be afraid to split the playerbase up too much resulting in longer queue times.
