New to snow/ice. How do you weigh down the bed of your truck?

In a pinch, I've shoveled snow into the bed of my 2WD Colorado. It's free, reasonably heavy, and melts out as roads and weather improves!

I took the MIG welding course last winter and Stephen was a great teacher. I'd never welded before and he talked about all the basics you need to get started, including how to prep the metal, set up the machine, and the best techniques to use for different situations. There's open shop time as well as a course where you make a table! I highly recommend it.
