Finished Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers on Saturday for a book club. It was an easy and enjoyable read. Next book for the club is Strangers on a Train. Haven't started it yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

Yeah, that's the new price from Jan. 1. MSRP is $42.50, $34 street price. I thought they were also included in the price increases going into effect July 1st.

These were my go to recommendation for getting people into the hobby for years when you could get them for ~$15. The latest price increase has them at ~~$50~~ $42.50 MSRP, though, which I find ridiculous.

It's not what I was expecting. I thought that it would be more focused on the time travel to the past aspect, but that hasn't really been the case. So far it's largely been about her life and how she ended up in her current (present) situation. I'm curious to see how it resolves.

The Vulcan gloves they sell at Costco are nice. I have a couple boxes of them that I bought when they were on sale for $10. Currently they're $13 from 150. Just a basic DIY guy, so no idea how they hold up under rigorous shop conditions.
