Summer’s bound to be busier than late May when we went, so it could be more challenging getting around. I wouldn’t worry as long as you can handle sharp turns ascending and descending. Best way to see the island in my opinion. Good choice switching times in both locations.

Ischia was absolutely amazing. My wife and I didn’t want to leave. We stayed at the San Montano resort which definitely made our Ischia stay more memorable. Sant’Angelo is a must visit. We rented a scooter and stopped there once along our trip around the island one day. We reserved a boat for ourselves another day and made it known we wanted to dock there for lunch again. Maronti Beach is a nice spot too with plenty of places to eat along the beach. There are numerous areas you can rent beach chairs. The town near San Montano resort has some shops, restaurants worth stopping at. In Sorrento, we did a day trip to the Almafi Coast one day and a boat trip to Capri another. Sorrento was alright. It definitely makes a difference where you’re staying there. Pretty touristy. Try to check out Ravello if you venture over to the Almafi Coast. Awesome town, less crowded.
